In this role, you will be responsible for performing submarine structural, new construction manufacturing work to support the fabrication schedules set forth by the integrated master schedule. Our primary objective is to deliver completed deck structures to our downstream customer. The successful candidate must be experienced in naval submarine new construction activity. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in a team environment are essential. Manufacturing Technicians will be expected to interface with EB and our strategic partner supplier personnel as one steel fabrication team. A Manufacturing Technician is a multi-disciplined person that must have one or more skills within the trades. Steel fabricators, Welders and Fitters will be preferred and considered first. Other Manufacturing Technicians trades- such as Sheetmetal workers and Structural Construction workers and may be considered at the employer's discretion. Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints and possess math skills necessary for establishing or determining ships lines relative to positioning components for installation. Candidates shall be willing to learn new skills and apply them as needed with the appropriate training. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to understand, comply with, and actively support site improvement goals for Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and continuous Improvement. Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Shift work and emergency overtime may be required.
