The Mayo Clinic John E Herman Home and Treatment Center is a residential treatment program for adults with serious persistent mental illness (SPMI). The program is organized around functional and vocational recovery. Treatments include group and individual therapy, medication management based on cognitive and behavioral principles, medication management, vocational program, and milieu-based activities to help residents engage in a productive and value-driven life.
The Psychiatric Technician is an integral member of the psychiatric residential, hospital-based psych emergency services team and participates in both direct and indirect patient care for adults and children. At the direction of a registered nurse the Psychiatric Technician promotes involvement in the treatment program. Psychiatric Technicians assist residents in various social, clinical, nutritional, and observational activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a safe patient milieu. The Psychiatric Technician role plays a crucial role in ongoing safety observation, assessment of the milieu and identification of escalation of concerning behaviors. The Psychiatric Technician plays a key role in leading social activities, games and crafts that promote patients to engage in milieu and practice therapy concepts they are learning within individualized care plans.
High school graduate or equivalent. At least 21 years of age.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as a mental health or behavioral assistant working with adults. Nursing Assistant training or equivalent -OR- completion of 12 college credits preferred.
Basic skills in cleaning, cooking, and meal preparation. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations in stressful and ambiguous situations. Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft office suite and /or competency with electronic clinic documentation. Demonstrates ability to multi-task under stressful situations. Demonstrates ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with interdisciplinary members while maintaining patient/family centeredness and safety in a timely, efficient, and equitable manner.
Experience with 24/7 residential programs preferred. Computer experience preferred. As a condition of employment, individuals working with addictions services must be free from problematic substance use for a minimum of the immediately preceding two years at time of hire.

As an IRL Technologist at the Red Cross you will perform basic and advanced donor and patient tests and interpret results to determine donor-recipient compatibility. You will resolve compatibility problems; provide intermediate reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services.

Resolving compatibility problems, and providing complex reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services.
Performing automated and manual test procedures on blood samples.
Managing receipt, coordination, shipment, and transport of patient and donor blood samples and documenting supply and equipment problems.
Managing reagent inventory (ordering, receiving, inspection and preparation).
Recognizing/resolving testing irregularities and assisting other Medical Technologists in problem resolution.
Consulting with staff at other medical facilities, to resolve complex serologic problems and providing special units to transfusion recipients.
Performing manufacturing duties associated with special blood products, if applicable.
Perform other related duties as necessary.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
MT (ASCP) certification required
Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Chemistry
Minimum 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. MLT (ASCP) certification with 4 years of general laboratory experience can be substituted.
One year of experience
Licensure if required by state
Good written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Ability to work on a team.

Physical Requirements:
Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time. Required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc. Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment.

This enviornmental/maintenance schedule includes;
* 80 hours ever two weeks
* Full time, Day shift
* Weekends as needed
* On call every other week
Responsibilities:
* Cleans public areas of building as assigned
* Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment

Required Qualifications:

The position includes rotating weekend call responsibilities, typically every fourth weekend. Call shifts begin at 6:00 PM on Friday and end at 7:30 AM on Monday. This schedule may vary depending on staffing levels.

Tech II: High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited institution for neurodiagnostic technology or 2 years equivalent neurodiagnostic tech experience. Associate's degree preferred.
Must have proficient experience in the IONM modality(ies) for the position in which is being considered. For IONM EEG, this would include: EEG monitoring during carotid endarterectomy, intracranial grid placement, stereotactical depth placement, lobectomies, awake/asleep cortical mapping, and circulatory arrest cases. For IONM EMG/EP, this would include the following surgeries/procedures: vertebral column, craniotomy, interventional radiology ablation, supratentorial tumor resection, periacetabular osteotomy, peripheral nerve reconstruction, selective dorsal rhizotomy, endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, intramedullary spinal cord tumor, and spinal cord/dorsal root ganglion stimulator placement. Minimum of 1 year of experience in IONM testing is preferred. Computer skills required. Specific training in EEG surgical monitoring including anesthesia effects on EEG and recording techniques, EMG, somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs), transcranial motor evoked potentials (MEPs), pedicle screw stimulation, auditory evoked potentials (AEPs), cranial nerve EMG monitoring, sensorimotor cortical and subcortical mapping, language cortical mapping, nerve action potential, and visual evoked potentials is required. Must have the ability to work independently and shows proficiency in trouble shooting.
Must have the ability to work unexpected hours, which may include days, evenings, nights and weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
Must be a current Registered Technologist with the CNIM specific certification through ABRET - Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation. Must have current certification in Basic Life Support. Those hired into this job description prior to year 2000 will not be impacted by the lab specific certification requirement.

Description:
We are seeking a skilled IR Tech to assist in interventional procedures, including vascular access, angiography, and image-guided therapies. This position requires at least 2 years of recent IR experience in a hospital or surgical setting, with strong knowledge of fluoroscopy and sterile technique.
This role may include on-call duties, weekend/holiday shifts, and floating to other departments. Missed shifts must be made up. Compliance and onboarding typically take 4-6 weeks. Voice screening and a hiring manager interview are required.
