Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. Drive and maintain the company-provided service truck. Perform maintenance and repairs to light trucks as needed. Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment and diesel engine maintenance and repair. Strong mechanical and technical skills, with a focus on diesel engines. Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities, especially with diesel systems. Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems. Light truck maintenance and repair experience is preferred. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Post-secondary degree or certification in heavy equipment/diesel mechanics is preferred but not required. Experience with diagnostic tools. Familiarity with parts and electronic components of complex machinery and engines. Repair/re-thread man-hole lid bolt threads and roadway vault access hatch threads Maintenance of the extraction well system pressure gauges at least quarterly or more frequently as determined by the Honeywell site representative. Measure water levels of the piezometers to verify the accuracy of the ultrasonic water level measurements on a monthly basis. Monthly inspections of the extraction well vaults and any maintenance activities identified during the inspection. Inspection and maintenance of the valves (testing opened and closed) and pressure relief valves on a monthly basis. Assist in monitoring the pumping activities of each well system pump and, monthly, inspect the well system pumps by turning them on and off if they do not already cycle on at least a monthly basis. Control vegetative growth on the outboard embankment with an annual herbicide application. Portions of the site will be inspected for the presence of debris. General trash will be removed as access and safe conditions allow. Periodic visual inspection of the site surface soil and multimedia caps, to detect any problems with the cap system. The cap surface will be inspected annually and after storms to detect water ponding that may indicate settlement. Calibrate 4-gas confined space entry meters. Fault find/repair/replace ultrasonic water level sensors Fault find remove/repair/replace electric piston pumps Safely load leachate tanker trucks Position Summary Performs installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used for a variety of environmental projects. Duties will include assisting in battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering and washing batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, and other general maintenance activities. + This position will also assist the building and refrigeration maintenance teams. Duties will include assisting in general building repairs, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, refrigeration systems repair and maintenance, and other general maintenance activities. + There may be times when support is needed at other facilities and travel may be asked of the associate.     The primary purpose of the Tech III, MHE position is to oversee and repair material handling equipment (MHE). This role will oversee the safe operation, repairs, and preventative maintenance of MHE equipment including electric and propane industrial forklifts, pallet jacks, hi-low lifts, scissor lifts, scrubbers/sweepers, battery charging stations and cars, batteries, etc. Provide assistance to Supervisor/Manager of Maintenance to ensure assets are managed in accordance with the following: Equipment/parts manufacturers, equipment/parts suppliers, EPA, OSHA and applicable State and Local Codes. Job Description Schedule: 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday Compensation starting at $28-$35 Benefits start on day one! Check out a day in the life here: *********************************** You will contribute by: + Oversee and manage the repair of the MHE fleet including monitoring and trending, troubleshooting and repairs and preventative maintenance. + Conducting preventive maintenance (P.M.'s) within manufacturer's guidelines/specifications and established timelines to include oil changes, filter changes, calibration of equipment, belts changes, inspections, adjustments, lubrication, etc. Concise reporting of required inspections, evaluations, P.M. procedures, etc. and clear communication with Management, etc. + Responsible for logging time and materials into computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) on a daily basis in the form of repairs, P.M.s, etc. + Responsible for daily communication of all pertinent information regarding equipment operation and maintenance to departmental management and other maintenance teams. Responsible for housekeeping, clean up of all maintenance areas/work areas on a daily basis. + Required to interpret and understand plans and specifications, schematics, operating and maintenance manuals, etc. for all systems being overseen. + Assist manager/supervisor in developing standard operating procedures, daily work schedules, and duty cycles for all repairs and maintenance for MHE and battery equipment. Assist in managing outside battery, MHE, and electrical contractors conducting service, repair and new contract work. Assist management in creation of budgets for individual projects, yearly capital and yearly operating expenses. + This position will also assist the battery technicians. Duties will include assisting in battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering and washing batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, and other general maintenance activities. + This position will also assist the building and refrigeration maintenance teams. Duties will include assisting in general building repairs, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, refrigeration systems repair and maintenance, and other general maintenance activities. + Although this position states no travel required, there may be times when support is needed at other facilities and travel may be asked of the associate. Environment + Warehouse: Freezer (-20F to 0F) Skills + Extensive experience with Crown, Raymond, and Toyota material. Manufacturer Certifications (Raymond, Crown, Toyota, etc.)handling equipment. + Detailed knowledge of hydraulic systems/schematics/components, electrical systems/schematics both AC and DC systems, drive motors, power amps, electrical controls including PLC systems. + Detailed knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, internal combustion motors, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, steering systems, suspension systems, etc. + Building and HVAC: General knowledge of building (Dock doors and plates, electrical, HVAC systems, etc.) systems. CMMS: Computerized Maintenance Management System experience for logging work orders and P.M.s + Hydraulic systems, Electronic Systems, PLC/Low Voltage Control Systems + Physical abilities: : Some travel, site inspections, equipment inspections, mechanical repairs and replacements, all which require good mobility, physical exertion, walking, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, carrying tools and parts, etc. + OSHA, ASE Certifications (Electrical, Mechanical, Braking Systems, etc.) Years Of Experience + 2-5: Relevant experience. + 4 years: MHE Maintenance Position.
