Schedule & Pay Regular shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 pm-5:00 am, with rotating Saturdays Training period: First 30 days on 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 4:30 am-1:00 pm) with rotating Saturdays Compensation: $30.00-$33.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential for hours worked after 1st shift; pay is negotiable based on experience and skill set What You'll Tackle Independently diagnose and repair equipment issues in your area with minimal supervision Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems with confidence Work on bottling and filling equipment, gantry palletizers, and related automation Resolve mechanical breakdowns using skills in mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, and root-cause analysis Respond quickly to equipment calls with a customer-first mindset Perform electrical work: wire connections, relays, photo-eyes, solenoids; diagnose/wire motors; troubleshoot VFDs; safely work with 120v-480v; proficiently use a multimeter and read schematics Execute preventative maintenance and safety inspections Modify, install, repair, and troubleshoot conveyors (roller, belt, Intralox, gravity, chain plate) Diagnose, rebuild, and replace a variety of pump types Use a CMMS to document emergency and planned work; communicate clearly with stakeholders Install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot machinery across processing and packaging areas Set up, take down, and relocate processing and packaging equipment; reconfigure lines for new products Apply general shop and fabrication skills: grinders, saws, presses, lathes, and mills Work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations; wear a full-face respirator when required What You Bring 2+ years of mechanical experience in high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing (food industry strongly preferred) High school diploma or GED; strong, clear communication Hands-on success in a manufacturing environment Interpersonal savvy, critical thinking, and problem-solving strengths Time management and organization-able to juggle changing priorities Physical Capabilities Occasionally exert 20-50 lbs. of force (up to 1/3 of the time) Frequently apply 10-25 lbs. of force (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) Regularly handle up to 10 lbs. throughout the shift (2/3 or more of the time) Comfort with climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and handling Ability to visually inspect parts and hear alarms/equipment signals, with or without accommodation Preferred Proficiencies Creating preventive maintenance plans; preventive maintenance and inspection Mechanical troubleshooting skills 120/208/240/480 voltage systems Pneumatics troubleshooting Maintenance and repair skills Tools & Technologies You'll See Labeling systems; packaging machines; conveyor systems Liquid fill pumps and equipment Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Blow molding machines Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) What You'll Get We know pay matters as you plan your next step.
