Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and reactive maintenance to support plant manufacturing operations. Key priorities include executing PM schedules, repairing equipment to maintain maximum production rates, and managing spare parts inventory. This role requires flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as needed, and fulfill on-call duties for repairs and assistance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair machines and controls (extruders, corrugators, extrusion die, DC/AC motors & drives, downstream equipment, chillers, etc.).
Complete PM and repair work orders in CMMS system promptly and accurately.
Order replacement parts and control components as needed.
Serve as first responder for machine troubleshooting; escalate to Electrical Engineering when necessary.
Support daily management initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and safety.
Collaborate with production staff to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation.
Maintain and build job skills through company training programs.
Must-Haves
5-15 years of industrial maintenance experience (minimum 5 years required).
Strong electrical skills and experience with industrial systems.
Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of NEC, UL508A, NFPA 79 codes.
Proficiency in Lockout/Tagout safety procedures, Arc Flash, and PPE requirements.
Skilled in troubleshooting PLC I/O, networking, AC/DC drives, and servo systems.
Strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Plusses
Experience with plastics manufacturing.
Knowledge of injection molding and extrusion processes.
Basic PLC and drive training.
Preferred Experience

* Performs inquiry using computer system for intake, re-applications, changes and other similar administrative requirements;
* Provides case management functions for clients including making referrals for community services and resources, particularly when client is faced with crisis or emergency;
* Responds to telephone calls regarding the screening for eligibility, receiving reports or changes from client, receiving information from another agency or private business, making referrals, and making calls to clients, providers, other agencies and the private sector;
* Meets with clients for intake and re-application, to report changes, ask for medical coverage verification, report of loss benefits or non-receipt of benefits, or replace benefits;
* Takes PRC applications and issues or denies benefits;
* Handles client complaints and public inquiries regarding programs; Accesses computer system for intake, re-applications, changes and other similar administrative requirements;
* Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance;

How you'll contribute

Under supervision of the Director of Facilities and Engineering or designee, the Maintenance Specialist is responsible for janitorial, mechanical, electrical, fire, etc. and monitoring alarm responses. The maintenance specialist makes general facility repairs and conducts routine tests /inspections on various facility systems such as the emergency generator, sprinklers, conveyors, and air compressors and performs preventative maintenance tasks.This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements. How you'll contribute
The Maintenance Worker assists in assigned activities of plant operation functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utility systems and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition. Assists in maintaining performance improvement activities within the facility and participates in CQI activities. Performs general maintenance and repair duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Physical Plant. Receives daily direction from the Director of Plant Operations via verbal or written communications. May share on call with Director of Plant Operations.
Qualifications and requirements:

Essential Functions
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
