1. Maintains unit environment.

3. Performs other related duties as needed and/or directed.
3.1 Transports patients/supplies as required for patient care following established hospital procedures as observed by supervisor and as indicated by feedback from staff.
4. Demonstrates accountability and responsibility in daily performance of role.
4.1 Relocates and rotates to meet patient care needs 100% of the time as observed by supervisor.
5. Completes non-therapeutic funcitions under the direction of MD, PA, or RN.
5.1 Remove medication(s) from the pneumatic tube system sent from the Pharmacy or Hospital Supply to the unit/patient care area.

Fitting patients with durable medical equipment and braces appropriately and completing billing paperwork accurately

SUNY Westchester Community College seeks a non-credit health adjunct to teach a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant course. The incumbent may teach all or part of the lecture and laboratory practice training and may assist with the delivery of the clinical training in the student supervised clinical work experience. The incumbent will be responsible for comprehensive course instruction within specified program areas, create a course outline and syllabus, present class lectures and educational demonstrations, prepare course benchmarks (such as quizzes and exams) and maintain student grades/attendance reports.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Master's degree and a minimum of one year of employment in a healthcare facility, including a minimum of one year in an ambulatory healthcare setting performing or observing administrative and clinical procedures required. Practical occupational experience in EKG, Phlebotomy, pharmacology, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical office procedures, computer applications and medical billing and coding is also required. Demonstrated competency to teach adult learners required. The successful candidates must also have experience working with diverse populations; and demonstrated knowledge of internet navigation, email and computer skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of three years of employment in a healthcare facility is strongly preferred. Additional preferred credentials include certification as a Phlebotomist, EKG Tech, Medical Assistant and Registered Nurse, RN.

RATE OF PAY: $93.84 per hour. No benefits.
