    About the Responsibilities

    As a Pumping Plant Millwright Mechanic, you will be responsible for the operational availability, efficient operation and maintenance of large pumping plants, generation stations, check structures and turnouts. Perform overhauls, installations, modifications, troubleshooting and predictive and preventative maintenance of plant equipment and systems, as well as local plant operations. These positions are subject to call-outs to a variety of operational emergencies on and off hours. Work assignments are primarily at pumping plants and other system facilities in a specific geographic area but at times throughout their employment, incumbents may be assigned to work at other locations across the Central Arizona Project system, as needs dictate. These locations and facilities are located geographically throughout Arizona.
