is $24.50 per hour. The Wayfair Security agent will be responsible for the daily security operations of Wayfair for their assigned post. The position will provide support to applicable stakeholders in the event of an incident. This individual will be part of a dynamic corporate security team whose mission is to provide world class support to our partners. The Security agent will report to the Campus Security Supervisor/Manager and advise on any developing issues.

What You'll Do
* Greet all visitors/contractors/employees as they arrive, and offer assistance and guidance as necessary.
* Screen all visitors/contractors for a purposeful reason to be on site prior to contacting Wayfair personnel.
* Monitor campus security by monitoring alarms, access control, CCTV and events that may impact Wayfair's operations and assets.
* Monitor site camera system(s) looking for signs of loss or security breaches.
* Respond to incidents or crisis events that occur or could potentially impact Wayfair's operations.
* Perform key duties and be the key point of contact for first responders in the event of an emergency.
* When applicable, conduct daily safety and security patrols of the building, reporting findings to their direct manager.
* Ensure all exit doors are closed unless in use for business related purposes.
* Interact with the employee population to create a friendly presence on property.
* Report damage or unsafe conditions to site management immediately.
* Provide an accurate account of patrol during and after the tour to include times, areas visited, irregularities, etc.
* Maintain detailed records of communications and events, including incident reporting and daily activity reporting.
* Perform clerical duties associated with driver and trailer management.
* Responsible for site-specific duties and tasks based on assignment, which may include customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby/visitor reception, service/freight elevator security, loading dock security, and/or a variety of other safety and security roles.
* Manage and handle sensitive incidents while maintaining the company's and affected individual's confidentiality.
* Responsible for knowing all site-specific policies and procedures, and implementing emergency response activities as appropriate.
* Work in partnership with the Campus Global Security Manager on asset protection related initiatives and investigations.
* Work with site leadership to resolve security related issues.
* Responsible for following all company procedures, maintaining acceptable attendance, and adhering to all grooming and customer service standards.
What You'll Need
* Current or prior military experience, or experience in the security field is desirable.
* Minimum 1-3 years of professional-level work experience preferred. Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, military, and/or customer service is highly desired. Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of the security industry is a plus.
* Experience with card access systems and CCTV systems is a plus.
* Positions require a current valid state driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and/or bicycle if assigned to a position requiring operation of such.
* Ability to provide reliable transportation (or access public transportation) to consistently get to and from work on time is required.
* Ability to write effective, concise, and legible reports.
* Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
* Demonstrated ability to be very customer service oriented, with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of individuals in a courteous manner, and to de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unsafe.

Appraisal Interview
Applicants will participate in an oral interview conducted by a panel of subject matter experts. Evaluations will be based on responses to structured questions specifically designed to assess each candidate's qualifications and suitability for the position.
Based on the Department's needs, the selection procedures listed above may be modified. All candidates will be notified of any changes in the selection procedure.
Eligible List: Once the appraisal has been completed, HR will establish an eligible list of candidates. Candidates placed on the eligible list may be referred to a selection interview to be considered for present and future vacancies.
Physical Demands
Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, running, jumping, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping in the performance of daily activities. Environmental Elements
The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions, and in a patrol unit and may operate specialized equipment when assigned to patrol. The work involves exposure to extreme weather conditions, loud noises such as, but no limited to, sirens, alarms, and diesel engines, as well as traffic, violent persons, and assault hazards. This position requires the use of safety helmets, armored vests, earplugs, utility belts, and other specialized equipment, as well as certification in protective and lifesaving equipment.
