Serve as liaison between Family Court and the School System or between schools and the parents, the courts, community agencies, and policy authorities. Maintain, update, and enforce the attendance program for the district's students. Serve, as requested, as a hearing official for administrative hearings provided juveniles. Conduct attendance hearings, court conferences, and other administrative duties to ensure compliance with the district's attendance program. Coordinate the placement of irregular enrollments. Coordinate efforts to comply with state and local health requirements for students and advise schools and parents concerning communicable diseases. Cooperate with Area Adult Education Agencies in referral of students. Coordinate, plan and administer school system attendance zones and out of zone requests. Serve as central office representative for athletic issues and concerns. Coordinate the development and implementation of computerized attendance accounting. Direct all activities involving the development and publication of the Code of Conduct and Attendance. Recommend needed policies and services concerning Alabaster City Schools students. Be regular and punctual in attendance. Maintain confidentiality of any Board of Education business. Assume other responsibilities and duties that might be reasonably assigned.
