The Foster Child Placement Worker shall be responsible for:
Assessing, developing, and executing a plan to achieve permanence for the child including return to the family, adoptions, transfer of custody, independent living, or other alternative plans;
Providing services to a caseload of children removed from their homes by court order,
voluntary surrender, or voluntary placement agreement and placed in a foster home or
a more restrictive setting
Overseeing the placement to ensure the child's well-being, assessing the probability of
return, and planning for the child's permanence
Participating in the implementing Methodist Foster Care's recruitment plan for
certifying perspective foster families
Preparing and conducting extensive orientation and training for potential foster and
adoptive homes
Examining and evaluating information gathered about families, housing and
environment in relation to provider criteria and licensing regulation for certification of perspective foster homes
Completing home studies
Upon completion of written home studies, recommending approval or denial of
certification for perspective foster homes based on a combined evaluation and
assessment process
Re-evaluating for continued annual re-certification for foster homes.
Developing and implementing corrective action plans to correct deficiencies
Maintaining a listing of all foster homes in area and recommending appropriate
resources to workers placing children.
In addition, for Therapeutic Foster Families:
Having the first face-to-face visit with a child and therapeutic foster care parent on the
day of the child's placement or the following work day;
Having another face-to-face visit with the therapeutic foster parent or child within 10
calendar days of a foster child's placement;
Having telephone contact, on a weekly basis with at least one of the specialized foster
care parents of each child on the specialized child placement worker's caseload;
Visiting a therapeutic foster care parent a minimum of two times a month with at least
one visit being in the foster home;
Visiting the foster child face-to-face in the foster home without the foster parent being
present a minimum of two times a month with at least one visit in the therapeutic
foster care home and one visit outside the foster home
Carrying a caseload of not more than 12 therapeutic foster care children, taking into
account the required responsibilities other than the case management of a child in
foster care; the additional support, contact, and preparation needed by a therapeutic
foster care home, due to the extent of the needs of the child served; and the intensity
of services provided to the child and the child's family
Conduct a quarterly case consultation, which includes the participation of the foster
parents; the child's Foster Child Placement Worker, any Foster Child Placement Worker
Assistants who have participated in car), the Foster Care Supervisor, the child and the
child's family of origin, to the extent possible
Identifying the support needed by the foster family, including a plan for respite care
Recommending and preparing an aftercare plan for a child, prior to discharge from
therapeutic foster care, to ensure a successful transition
Documenting quarterly case consultations and revisions to foster children's service
plans as determined by the case consultations.
Performing other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
The Foster Child Placement Worker shall meet the following qualifications:

plus one year of social service experience; and
a child placement worker located in a branch office apart from the supervisor of
placement services shall have a master's degree from an accredited school of social work; and
ii. in providers where the child placement staff is comprised of one placement
worker, this person shall meet the qualifications of the supervisor of placement
services.
Must have demonstrated an appreciation for the value of maintaining a culturally
diverse staff, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff and the
ability to communicate effectively with all staff members.

Sylvan Learning Center is looking for fun, dedicated teachers and tutors to help and inspire students. We are currently looking for teachers and tutors who are able to teach Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus. Statistics, Calculus, and high-school sciences are a plus.
As a Sylvan instructor, you will be tasked with working with students of all ages. While your primary focus will be helping high school students with their math homework, you may occasionally be called upon to work with late-elementary and middle school students with our pre-built curriculums. These are easy-to-teach, pre-planned lessons which involve explaining a topic to a student, and then having the student work independently using what they just learned. You will also play a key role in motivating and connecting with each student, so they feel inspired to learn.

Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitate a high-fidelity wraparound process for youth and families, and work as a facilitator who provides individualized, coordinated, family-driven care to meet the complex needs of youth who are involved with several child and family serving systems, who are at risk of out of home placement and who experience behavioral and mental health difficulties.
Facilitate and coordinate a process that requires the youth, family, providers, and key member of the family's social support network collaborate to build a plan of care that responds to the needs of the youth.
Works with Independent Evaluator (Licensed Mental Health Professional) to ensure that the comprehensive assessment is completed, and the results are incorporated into the CFT process.
In partnership with the family, develops an individualized Plan of Care that adheres to National Wraparound Initiative standards and treatment planning requirements consistent with 42 CFR 438.208(c)(3).
Assists the child/youth and family with accessing strength-based mental health, social services, educational services, and other supports and resources required to assist the family to attain its vision.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a social, human services, or behavioral sciences field required. Bachelor's degree in other fields will be accepted with a minimum of two years of full-time experience working in relevant family, children/youth or community service capacity .
Relevant alternative experience may substitute for the bachelor's-level degree requirement in individual cases, subject to approval by the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH). Master's degree preferred.
Previous experience working in a relevant family, children/youth, or community service capacity required if degree is in a field other than human services . Obtain wraparound practitioner certificate within 2 years of hire date. Must maintain certificate once obtained, including being re-credentialed annually.

Manage and process in house prevailing wage payrolls accurately and on time.
Calculate and apply prevailing wage rates, including applicable fringe benefits.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage regulations.
Prepare and submit required reports and documentation related to prevailing wage compliance and certified payroll.
Review and interpret labor agreements, wage determinations, and project-specific requirements.

Minimum requirements:
Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong understanding of payroll software and systems; experience with ADP Vantage Payroll software and VantagePoint a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Certification in payroll or related field (CPP - Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus.
EXCEL knowledge including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and LOOKUP, IF and INDEX formulas.
Technical requirements:
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience as a payroll specialist; hands-on experience in prevailing wage payroll processing is a plus.
Proven knowledge of prevailing wage laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Ensure effective teacher practices and program performance goals align with program's school readiness objectives, curricula and other approaches to professional development.
Execute intensive coaching, including opportunities for education staff to be observed and then receive feedback and modeling of effective teacher practices directly related to program performance goals.
Provide opportunities for education staff who are not identified as needing intensive coaching to receive other forms of research-based professional development aligned with program performance goals.
Establish policies that ensure assessment results are not used to solely determine punitive actions for staff identified as needing support, without providing time and resources for staff to improve
Ensure ongoing communication with and between the Program Director, Manager, Education & Inclusion and any other relevant staff.
Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available in classrooms and centers, and that schedules and activities are age and developmentally appropriate.
Attend home visits, parent conferences and Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings when requested or as needed.
Visit all classrooms on a regular basis (4-6 hours per month per site) to conduct observations (including CLASS); provide training and technical assistance, coaching and mentoring.
Provide training and technical assistance to build capacity by working directly with Head Start/Early Head Start staff, parents and community partners to ensure high-quality programs.
Develop and incorporate the Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers (PITC) into the curriculum and parent/child activities; ensure that staff consistently incorporate PITC information into their classrooms and home visits; provide strategies to support young English language learners and their families.
Oversee site tracking of child screenings and assessments, child data collection and participating in local evaluation activities.â¯
Provide ongoing training in policies, procedures and program requirements, as well as communication and problem-solving skills to staff.
This position must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner and furthermore protect the safety of children by implementing active supervision techniques to ensure no child is left alone or unsupervised at any time.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and equivalent coursework in early childhood education with early education teaching experience, plus at least two years of relevant experience.
Proven experience working with infants and toddlers and/or preschool aged children.
Demonstrated experience in supervision and training
Proven successful experience developing consistent, stable and supportive relationships with very young children.
Proven training and experience in adult learning and in using assessment data to drive coaching strategies aligned with program performance goals.
Demonstrated experience with developmentally appropriate practices, child safeguarding and methods for communicating effectively with infants and toddlers and/or preschoolers, as well as parents and other staff.
