Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs per manufacturer and DCI guidelines, as well as AAMI standards
Educate direct patientcare and technical staff on all equipment's proper use and maintenance, document training

JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of MRI Manager and Clinical Reception/Authorization Coordinator performs duties required to support the clinical and business operations of the MRI department and the medical practice ensuring services are provided in a professional, timely and courteous manner. These duties are performed in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations governing the privacy and security of patients' PHI (Private Health Information).
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ensure release form has been completed and payments received, when applicable.
Act as liaison between patient and other staff, including medical assistants, physicians, physician assistants, administrative assistants, etc.
Maintain excellent communication with technologist and patients regarding wait times or physician delays.
Conduct a thorough and detailed audit of incoming orders, assuring that both the order and clinical information matches the exam and authorization and informing physician and/or Medical Assistant when correction is needed.
Understanding of the health screening questions, and possible risks associated with MR exams.
Screening every patient to verify safety using MRI manufacturer guidelines including but not limited to Gauss/Cm, magnet strength, placement and duration of all implants.
Obtaining all implant information and contacting manufacturer when needed to ensure patient safety before scheduling MRI and importing all documents obtained for MRI clearance as per safety guidelines.
Ensure prior diagnostic testing clearance is obtained, including X-rays and/or proper bloodwork/GFR and required documentation including operative notes are scanned into patient's chart.
Trained in MRI safety level II, and BLS as required by ACR.
Ensure that incoming faxes are delivered and/or acted on immediately.
Retrieves and responds to voice mail messages in a timely manner.
Other
Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice
Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions.
Attends regular staff meetings and continuing education sessions as requested
Typical Physical Demands
Work may require sitting for long periods of time, and also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Employee should be capable to lift up to 30 pounds. Position requires manual dexterity sufficient to assist patients on and off the MRI table and to operate a keyboard, computer, telephone, copier, and such other office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. Position also requires viewing computer screens and typing for long periods of time.

Who We Are
The R&R Center in Pawling, NY, is a unique program dedicated to providing integrated sheltering, behavioral, and medical care for canine victims of cruelty. The R&R Center team works closely with ASPCA teams in New York City to help animals rescued in partnership with the NYPD.
What You'll Do
The individual in this role is responsible for providing sheltering that is conducive to the behavioral and medical health of resident animals. Care & Enrichment Technicians ensure a safe, healthy, clean, and enriched environment, and assist in providing the mental and physical activities animals need to regain and maintain their wellbeing.
Successful candidates for Care & Enrichment Technician are adaptive, resilient, collaborative, curious, and capable of prolonged physical activity. The person in this role must be comfortable working with dogs with significant behavioral and medical needs.
Care & Enrichment Technicians report directly to Manager, Care & Enrichment and have no direct reports.
When and Where You'll Work
This position is an on-site role and reports to the R&R Center in Pawling, NY
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, as needed
Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular shifts are typically four 10 hour shifts per week and include at least one weekend day. Schedules are subject to change at the sole discretion of the ASPCA.

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only, and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. The expected hiring salary range for this role is set forth below and may be modified in the future.
The target hiring range for this role is $24 - $25.68 hourly.

Functional Duties (85%)
Maintain working knowledge of all Care & Enrichment daily protocols
Maintain working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, and keeps accurate records of compliance activities
Clean, sanitize, and prepare animal housing areas according to established protocols
Perform repeated daily checks of animal holding areas, spot cleaning, feeding, watering, and providing enrichment according to relevant protocols
Create and maintain safe and comfortable enriched kennels for all dogs
Provide enrichment activities according to the daily enrichment schedule
Provide food, water, and medication based on veterinary orders and behavior modification plans
Monitor the eating, drinking, and elimination habits of every animal
Monitor the population for signs of physical or mental decline, promptly reporting concerns through the appropriate channels
Assist in overseeing volunteers as they perform animal related tasks, providing coaching and encouragement; demonstrate respect and gratitude for volunteer support
Assist with handling and documentation during dog playgroups
Assist with the transport of dogs to and from emergency and specialty veterinarians, and between ASPCA facilities as needed
Assist with the physical movement of animals into and out of the shelter using low-stress animal handling techniques and following applicable organizational policies and protocols"
Collaborate with behavior and veterinary team members, working together to ensure open and ample communication, excellent care, and close monitoring of every animal in the shelter
Send timely medical and behavior observation reports and actively engage within and across teams to implement interventions
Attend all required huddles throughout the day, reporting on progress, asking for or providing assistance as needed
Attend and participate in training classes as scheduled by the Manager, Care and Enrichment
Continually support teammates, working together to stay on track in order to best serve the animals
Keep animal care and enrichment equipment and supplies organized, efficiently located, and in good repair, reporting missing, broken, or inadequate tools to management
Monitor the inventory and conditions of animal care and enrichment supplies, requesting additional supplies before stock is depleted
Be willing to deploy locally or nationally as part of an ASPCA response when the opportunity arises and approved by the Manager, Care and Enrichment.
Operational and Administrative Duties (15%)
Maintain meticulous records for every animal in appropriate databases
Attend and meaningfully contribute to all relevant R&R Center and ASPCA meetings
Accurately track and report time worked, time off, and work-related expenses
Responsibly steward R&R Center assets
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Professional, academic or volunteer animal care experience with dogs is required
6 months of professional or volunteer animal care experience with dogs is strongly preferred
Animal shelter experience with dogs strongly preferred; dog boarding or veterinary clinic experience with dogs preferred
Previous experience working in an animal shelter preferred
Fear Free Shelter Program certification (approximately 5 hours) required or completed within 60 days of hire
Qualifications
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle history check demonstrating safe driving

Overview:
A hospital in West Haven is seeking a highly skilled and nationally certified Medical Technologist (MT) to join its laboratory services team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise across multiple laboratory disciplines-chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, hematology, coagulation, and microbiology-and a dedication to supporting exceptional patientcare.
Education & Experience Requirements:
National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT)
Preferred:
Three years of recent experience in chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, hematology, coagulation, and microbiology
Certification Requirements:
National MT certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
Work Schedule:
3rd shift with rotating weekends.
No on-call required
Personnel must be available and present during the established duty hours, which may be revised as necessary for patientcare by the Chief of Staff
Primary Responsibilities:
The Medical Technologist may work in multiple sections of the laboratory as needed and will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic testing and analytical procedures, including:
Chemistry:
Conduct routine chemistry testing on automated instrumentation (Abbott Architect ci8200, Abbott Alinity, Tosoh G8, Advanced Instruments Osmos, Polymedco OC80)
Perform manual chemistry tests as required
Complete daily and weekly quality control checks and instrument maintenance
Urinalysis:

Conduct daily and weekly quality control and instrument maintenance
Blood Bank:
Perform crossmatching, antibody screening and identification, selected cell panels, and processing of blood and blood products for both routine and emergency requests

Hematology/Coagulation:
Perform routine hematology and coagulation testing on automated instruments (Sysmex XN, ACL Top, Alcor iSed)
Carry out manual hematology and coagulation tests when needed
Perform daily and weekly quality control and maintenance
Microbiology (as needed):
Assist in culture setup, organism identification, and susceptibility testing following established procedures
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and documentation standards
Additional Duties:
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality assurance standards

+ Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical exams, health histories, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
+ Continuously monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac rhythm changes, alarms, and arrhythmias
+ Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
+ Document patient responses and changes in condition accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
+ Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust individualized care plans
