The employer is currently hiring multiple certified Armed Security Guards. - Provide Access Control Points to several US military assets while at berth. - Communicate well via phone, radio, and written reports. - Monitor Access control computer screens for People coming and going from vessels and gates. - Must communicate and work well with others as you will be working alongside several other security officers and shipyard personnel that are in close proximity throughout the day. - This is a customer service attitude environment so we will need the security personnel to put their best foot forward to be courteous and pleasant when interacting with visitors and other shipyard staff. REQUIREMENTS - At least 3 years experience as an OR DPSST Licensed Armed Security Officer. - Utilize various Security Officer Reporting App's such as TrackTik - Be personable, and work well with others. - Attention to detail is a must. ADDITIONAL INFO - This position may require you to be in the elements for long periods at times and there are foot patrols that must be completed. - This is a customer service attitude environment so we will need the security personnel to put their best foot forward to be courteous and pleasant when interacting with visitors and other shipyard staff. - Uniforms will be provided but staff must provide their own black tactical pants and steel toed boots. About the Company We are seeking a professional to lead Linux security operations by driving proactive CVE monitoring, risk triage, patch lifecycle management, automation, and agile aligned remediation to ensure hardened systems and SLA compliant vulnerability response. About the Role We are looking for a Linux Security Lead to oversee security operations and ensure compliance with vulnerability response standards. Responsibilities Continuous multi-source CVE monitoring (vendors, kernel, upstream packages) Perform rapid impact triage & risk classification (accuracy-focused, low false positives) Prioritize & schedule remediation inside sprints with TPM/product alignment Coordinate kernel / driver / package patch workflows including manual application when needed Track full vulnerability lifecycle with MTTA & MTTR SLA dashboards and proactive escalation Provide transparent security posture reporting (dashboards, status summaries, metrics) Implement & refine automated CVE intake / classification scripts to reduce manual toil Advise on hardening, secure configuration, dependency & patch hygiene Integrate security tasks cleanly into agile flow (no surprise interrupts) Optimize assessment & remediation throughput while preventing SLA breaches Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in Linux system administration, security engineering, or vulnerability management. Hands on experience with kernel, driver, and package patching workflows, including manual patch application. Strong background in secure configuration, system hardening, and dependency/patch hygiene. Familiarity with software development processes, Agile methodologies, and project management best practices. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with attention to detail. Experience building or refining automation scripts/tools for CVE intake, classification, and remediation. Familiarity with security dashboards, reporting metrics, and posture transparency for executive and technical stakeholders. Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, etc.). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
