POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Business Office Manager, the Payroll and Billing Coordinator provides administrative support for the payroll and billing operations for Seniors At Home, with 60-70% of the role focused on payroll‑related responsibilities. This includes assisting with weekly payroll preparation and data entry, reviewing and verifying weekly time and attendance records, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and responding to payroll questions in a timely and professional manner. The role helps ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll processing in coordination with HR and Finance. In addition to payroll responsibilities, the Payroll and Billing Coordinator also supports client billing and insurance submission activities, assists with revenue‑related data entry and basic reconciliations, and provides general business office and administrative support for the SAH program and JFCS headquarters. The Payroll & Benefits Administrator will play a critical role in supporting payroll processes, benefits programs, and leave of absence administration across multiple PS locations.     Under the general supervision of the Administrative Services HR Operations Manager, this position performs payroll and personnel processing transactions in the State Controller's Office database for a significant portion of time. These tasks must be completed in a timely manner to ensure accurate paychecks are generated for employees by designated pay dates, including other campuses who are participating in the Cross Campus Collaboration Project. The incumbent ensures payroll is processed both timely and accurately. Additionally, the incumbent is recognized as the subject matter expert for payroll PIMS transactions, provides guidance and training to Payroll Technician staff, and is responsible for processing and advising on leave status changes, and related policies to ensure compliance and accuracy. Key Responsibilities * Personnel/Payroll Information Management System (PIMS) payroll process for salaried and hourly employees - Process and complete payroll/personnel documents using the SCO PIMS/PIP system, which maintains official personnel, payroll, and retirement records for CSU employees. Independently initiate PPTs for appointments, separations, and pay status changes for multiple employee categories. Handle overtime, shift differential, special consultant pay, merit awards, retirement adjustments, and other payroll actions to ensure employees are paid promptly and accurately. * Customer service to assist employees and departments - Clearly explain complex payroll policies and procedures to employees and departments. Resolve pay-related issues promptly and professionally. * Training and Guidance - Provide guidance and training to Payroll Technician staff on payroll procedures, PIMS transactions, and compliance requirements.
