CEOBio
Joseph L. Murphy
JLM Couture

Joseph L. Murphy is the president and chief executive officer of New York-based JLM Couture, Inc. which he co-founded in 1988. JLM Couture is a leader in the bridal design and manufacturing industry, housing award-winning brands which include Allison Webb, Ti Adora by Allison Webb, LUCIA by Allison Webb, Lazaro, Tara Keely by Lazaro, Hayley Paige, Blush by Hayley Paige, La Petite Hayley Paige, and Hayley Paige Occasions. Mr. Murphy became the controlling shareholder of the company in 1994, and shortly thereafter began to implement a strategy to dramatically expand and improve the brands offered by the company. His earlier experience raising capital for micro-cap companies placed him in a unique position to recruit and assemble the talent and financing for his own venture, JLM Couture. Joe is generally regarded as the innovator of the multi-label bridal house. Recalling early inspiration and how JLM Couture came to be, Mr. Murphy said, ''Back in the late 1980's, I became intrigued by the luxury goods category of the fashion business. I looked at LVMH and how some of the old movie studios operated and thought we could develop a similar model in the bridal industry.''

Kathy Selker
Northlich

Kathy took an interesting path to a career in agency leadership. She studied economics as an undergrad at the University of Cincinnati, and that social sciences background trained her to look for the motivators that lead people to make the choices they make. She earned her MBA at what is now UC’s Lindner College of Business, a discipline that prepared her to apply consumer behavior principles in the context of business objectives. After a career that included stops at Accenture, Macy’s and Coca-Cola, she joined Northlich in 2000 as chief financial officer, later serving as COO. As president and CEO since 2007, she helps brands and companies understand both the contribution and the cost of their marketing efforts so they can deliver real value to their shareholders and stakeholders. Kathy loves the outdoors and does her best thinking while walking outside. She loves the Cincinnati neighborhoods of Mt. Adams and OTR for their vibrancy and transformation. Kathy’s proudest achievements are her three bright and caring sons, whom she aspires to someday take on a trip to Australia and New Zealand.

Mary Amos Augsburger
Ohio State Bar Association

Jon Davis is chief executive officer and owner of the Sight & Sound Productions family of companies. He joined Sight & Sound as director of sales in 1996, advanced to executive vice president in 1999, was made president in 2001 and became CEO and owner in 2011. Mr. Davis, who became co-owner in 2006, has grown the business through the strategic acquisition of complementary companies and technologies. He led the acquisition of Mugwump Productions (2010) and Communicate Media Technologies assets (2009), and championed acquisition of the JPG Sound assets (2009). Today, the award-winning enterprise is one of the leading audiovisual and event production ventures in the Jacksonville area. Davis, a firm proponent of mentoring, training and development, is proud that the company uses CTS-certified technical teams trained and certified at the company's expense, a factor that distinguishes it from others in the region. Mr. Davis is a classic entrepreneur, with more than 25 years of experience in management, audiovisual technologies and event production. He is a long-term member of TEC, pursues ongoing executive development opportunities, and has completed college-level coursework at Oakland Community College. Both Mr. Davis and the company are actively engaged in the community. He is the president of the Jacksonville SKAL Club, a travel and hospitality organization that supports a variety of charities for children. He and his staff regularly contribute their time, talent and technology to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Jacksonville Zoo and annual Springing the Blues event. His greatest pleasure is spending time with his wife and daughter, and he is a leading member of his church.
