Our Live-In Caregivers provide our clients with assistance in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). We hire caregivers who have received specialized training through CNA, HHA, PCA Programs. In this demanding but highly rewarding role, you will work with our clients to support their physical or mental challenges in their everyday lives so they can remain in their homes. You will focus on helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. You will provide compassionate care and assistance and document client progress, either written, electronically or verbally, to help ensure their overall well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide basic domestic services (i.e. meal prep, laundry, light housework)
Provide companionship and engage in conversation with the client
Assist with mobility issues, helping client get in and out of bed, wheelchair, etc.
Remind client to take medications
Help with personal hygiene (i.e. brushing teeth, toileting, bathing)
Change bed linens regularly
Assist with all daily activities, based on client's limitations and needs
Provide a caring and positive presence for the client
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience working in a home care or healthcare setting
Valid Driver's License is a PLUS, but not required
Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines

Job Summary
Mass General Brigham Home Care provides non-acute, medically necessary skilled care in the home to help "homebound" patients recover from illness or injury and manage exacerbations of chronic disease. Services include skilled nursing care (IV drug administration, injections, tube feeding, wound care, care plan education), physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, medical social services, and as needed medical supplies.
Qualifications
Perform paraprofessional home health aide services by following a written plan of care. Work is performed under the supervision of a primary nurse or therapist. Summary: The Awake Overnight Direct Support Professional 2 will provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities during the overnight hours in Level 2 residential programs. Staff will provide support to individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Individuals may require moderate physical assistance or accommodation. Staff will receive specialized training to provide enhanced supervision or interventions designed to address multiple disabilities, including behavioral support or enhanced medical care.
Schedule: Friday - Saturday 11:00 PM - 9:00 AM (Awake) (20 hours)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support and assist individuals with all activities of daily living.
Provide services to individuals according to DDS, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
Maintain required documentation according to DDS and all applicable regulatory standards, and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
Assist individuals during the overnight shift.
Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.
Administer medications according to MAP regulations.
Maintain core training certifications including CPR/FA, OSHA, CPI, PABC, and MAP.
Transport individuals as needed.
Comply with Bridgewell Awake Overnight Call-In procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Associate's Degree or DSP Certification preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent written and oral communication skills so that the writing of required documents is clear and articulate.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and one year of driving experience.
Computer literacy includes the ability to use proficiently Microsoft products and web-based applications used by the agency.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to climb stairs.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
The employee must be able to drive a vehicle.
Must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
Must have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.

Participate in the development of the Individualized Action Plans (IAP) and attend other treatment meetings, including weekly staff meetings.
Document daily CBFS notes. Communicate program participant's progress, mental status, and any changes in daily notes.
Perform interventions with clients that address their identified goals and result in skill development. Provide crisis intervention and access emergency services as needed.
Provide linkages to other program staff and service providers.
Monitor and document medication administration.
Participate in core training and maintain certification of required trainings (CPR/First Aid, Crisis Management, MAP).
Bachelor's Degree in related field; or high school diploma/GED and one year of related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to exercise sound judgement.
Strong computer skills.
Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
