1973

Rich’s son, Les Peterson, becomes the third generation of Petersons to join the company (1973).

Hidronic solar home project on the Westerbeck estate in Sonoma is featured on the cover of Sunset Magazine (1973).

1979

1979 marked the most significant change in the company as John Peterson bought out Alfred Huisinga's interest and formed the sole proprietorship of Peterson Construction.

1980

1980 Branching Out Colorado office opens.

1981

John's son, Gerald Peterson, joined his father in business in May of 1981.

1987

AP moves to the Colonnade Building (AP originally built in 1987).

1988

John's son, Joel Peterson, joined the family business in June of 1988.

1989

Peterson Construction became incorporated in January of 1989.

1991

1991 Serving the Southwest Arizona office opens.

1998

1998 A New Generation AP passes to the second and third generation.

The third generation expanded when Gerald's son, Karl Peterson, joined his family in business in January 2014.
