RESPONSIBLE FOR\:
Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
Required Hours\: 40 hrs/week, 8hr shifts, 5 evenings per week. Shift hours\: 2\:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday. 1 weekend every 4
th
weekend (includes Sat and Sun) and 2 holidays per year on a rotating basis 2\:30pm-11pm with occasionally requirement for 12\:30pm-9pm.

Day (United States of America) Job Summary: The Clinical Pharmacy Manager shall identify, develop, implement and monitor clinical pharmacy programs for his/her respective WellStar Hospital. They will supervise the pharmacy clinical pharmacists, PGY-1 residents, and clinical dietitians in matters pertaining to clinical pharmacy practice. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will assist to coordinate the clinical pharmacy activities/reports/programs for the WHS Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee; develop clinical strategies to improve therapy outcomes while reducing costs; develop and implement educational/instructional programs to train pharmacy personnel in contemporary clinical pharmacy practice; and provide training and educational opportunities to enhance the clinical knowledge of pharmacy personnel. + Prepares, compounds, manufactures, and dispenses investigational drugs and materials issued by the Investigational Drug Service for ongoing research studies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Completion of a pharmacy residency program and clinical trial experience preferred.
+ Prior hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred.

Collaborate with allied health disciplines to provide quality patient care.

Draft, review, and revise medication related policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols.
Provide clinical pharmacy services as outlined in approved hospital policies, including but not limited to: pharmacokinetic consults, renal dosing, parenteral nutrition management, anticoagulation management, neonatal/pediatric/geriatric dosing management, route optimization, antimicrobial stewardship, and reviewing medications at transitions of care.

* Prepares, compounds and dispenses medications and ensures accuracy and integrity prior to issuance by the pharmacy.

Day (United States of America) Job Summary: The Pharmacy Supervisor shall plan, organize, and supervise all pharmaceutical activities occurring in his/her respective pharmacy as directed by the Pharmacy Manager/Director. The Emory Transplant Center (ETC) includes transplant programs in kidney, pancreas, liver, heart, and lung. We performed over 670 transplants in 2024 which included over 400 kidneys, 160 livers, 60 hearts, and 25 lungs. Emory is currently one of the highest volume kidney transplant centers in the United States, performing over 380 kidney transplants so far in 2025.
The Solid Organ Transplant Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will join a team of eleven solid organ transplant pharmacy specialists. The clinical pharmacy specialist will provide cross coverage to all transplant services on weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include working within an interdisciplinary transplant team using collaborative practice protocols. The individual will round with the inpatient team, perform daily profile reviews and monitoring, provide patient educations, and see patients in the transplant clinic on a rotational schedule. The clinician will act as a drug information resource, participate in quality improvement activities, develop and implement drug therapy protocols, and has opportunities to collaborate on research projects. The clinician will be involved in educating PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents, pharmacy students, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
