ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: * Assist in the preparation of processing carbon fiber ribbon for winding operation. * Utilize tow motor and overhead crane to load and unload tube arbors. * Program and operate carbon fiber winding machine. * Prepare tubes for baking process * Remove tubes from arbors and prepare for grinding operation. * Set up, operate, and maintain, centerless grinder. * Operate horizontal band saw to cut material to required length. * Bond, fill, sand, and smooth successive layers of material on tubes to required finish specifications free from wrinkles, air pockets and voids following directions and instructions. * Measure and layout features using jigs, fixtures, and measuring equipment. * Set up and operate manual lathe to machine tubing to required length. * Set up and operate Vertical CNC machining center to machine holes and features on tubes. * Wash and transport tubing after machining operations. * Apply adhesive and similar materials following templates, guides or specific dimensions and sequences. * Route, drill, trim, and sand to blueprint dimensions and tolerances. * Assist in the development of shop aids, procedures, work instructions, and layout of work cell. * Check expiration dates of materials prior to use, prepare proper mixes of resins and catalysts. * May make continuity checks on work in progress and may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. * Maintain records as required. Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Provide accurate and detailed reports of repairs and services performed. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and follows manufacturer specifications. Continually maintain and update technical knowledge and skills through training and certifications. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and services and address any concerns or questions. Collaborate with the service team to maintain a clean and organized work area. Ford Certification Previous experience at a Ford dealership Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, with a Master Technician certification preferred. Thorough knowledge of automotive systems, mechanics, and components. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
