In addition to his Cargill experience, Pat also worked as a cash grain merchant for Louis Dreyfus Corp. in Springfield, Ill., and Phil O’Connel Grain Co., in Stockton, Calif. early in his career. Pat graduated from Stanford University, Palo Alto, Calif., in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He went on to earn a master’s degree from Stanford’s Food Research Institute in 1983. Pat has served on the Board of Directors for Schwan’s Home Service, Inc. where he was chair of the Risk Committee and on the Finance Committee. He also has served as Chairman of the Board for Fabcon, Inc. and also served on the HR Committee. Pat also served on the Board of the Minnesota Orchestra where he was the Chair of the Finance Committee.
