A bit about the role:
You will be preparing breakfast and lunch meals on Saturday and Sunday for 10 men in a religious fraternity. Approximate hours 7am 1pm with occasional deviations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present meals that meet state and local food safety standards and friar requirements and expectations.
Collaborate regarding meal schedule and materials.
Receive deliveries and store/prep materials and food items.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained in good & safe working order.
Stock salad bar items and manage fryer
Clean dining room and remove trash following breakfast and lunch meals
Assist with managing supply of all perishable and non-perishable food items plus miscellaneous supplies required for a kitchen and meal preparation operation.
Assist with executing special events and dinners for guests and fraternal members.
Minimum Qualifications
5 7 years cooking and kitchen experience. Preference for experience with in-house meal preparation and/or catering experience.
Experience with kitchen equipment operation, cleaning, maintenance, and replacement.
Strong service-orientation and attention to detail coupled with a self-directed work style.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with fellow employees and religious staff.
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
