Duties and Responsibilities:

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
* .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
* 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
* 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
* Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Use of ladders, powered hand tools, fork trucks, scissor lifts and other equipment to perform maintenance duties.
Must be able to utilize complex electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, recorders, VOMs, vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, ball bars, laser alignment tools, electronic levels and specialized test equipment as required.

Responsibilities
The Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) intern will perform meaningful work in support of the SRMC organization. The selected Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) intern will assist with various projects related to the SRMC engineering and process systems, such as control systems, process information systems, maintenance, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) etc. The candidate will assist with the following:
• Collecting and analyzing process data using tools like Excel, PI, databases, etc.
• Evaluating and recommending solutions to improve process efficiency and performance using engineering and technical tools like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), simulators, modeling, etc.
• Documenting and presenting findings and recommendations using tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
• Supporting the system obsolescence review by identifying and assessing the impact of outdated or obsolete components or technologies

Additional Information:
The internship is expected to be a 10-12 week period from May 2026 until the end of July 2026. Housing is not provided, but reasonable rentals may be available through local university student housing offices. The selected candidate will be responsible for their own transportation.
A 40-hour work week is set and scheduled by the individual departments. SRMC utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), etc. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. Interns will be paid a competitive hourly rate; no summer interns will be assigned to shift work; overtime is not available; Interns will be paid for site holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th) as applicable.
Assignments will be located in SRMC facilities in Aiken, SC. Public transportation is not available, and interns will be required to arrange their own transportation. A valid Driver's License, Registration and proof of automobile insurance is required for driving on the Savannah River Site.

The summer intern will help perform analysis and help setup several experiments for the scope defined here.
