Since Bill acquired the business in 1992 the company has experienced significant growth. Bill's philanthropic pursuits focus on STEM education and creating opportunities for disadvantaged children. Funding has recently been provided for the North Atlantic Industries Engineering Teaching Lab, a new engineering teaching lab at Stony Brook University’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. In addition, Bill supports FIRST robotics at numerous Long Island high schools. FIRST is a high school robotics program meant to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology.
