Position: 2nd Shift Inspector Packer
Job Summary
We are looking for an Inspector Packer to support the inspection and sorting of molded or assembled parts or products for defects, and/or deviations from specifications, and pack parts into designated packaging or pallet configurations based on customer requirements and/or standard quality specifications.
Pay: $16 USD/hr + $1 USD/hr Shift Premium
Responsibilities
Pack acceptable parts into pre-defined packaging or pallet configurations according to the established quality standard.
Perform secondary operations per requirement to meet customer specifications. This may include part rework, assembly, and/or repack tasks.
Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
Mark/label completed container(s)/bundle(s) with designated item information according to the established quality standards.
Record production data accurately during shift and complete Secondary Operations documentation as required.
Remove molded parts from WIP container and perform visual inspection for conformance to established quality standards.
Maintain clean and organized work area making sure to properly discard rejected parts and to keep area free of debris.
Transfer parts in/out of the curing oven as required/instructed.
Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.
Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.
Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.
Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.

Veterinary Student Externship
About the hospital: Located just a few miles from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Companion Animal Clinic is a highly recognized practice focusing on companion animals and exotics. It has a long-standing reputation and history in the Blacksburg, Virginia community and the surrounding areas. Companion has a strong, established team of six skilled veterinarians, three of which are experienced with exotics. The practice also has multiple licensed veterinary technicians (LVTs) on staff to provide support. In addition to being an AAHA practice, Companion Animal Clinic also upholds a No Poke Program cultivated by its lead LVT to reduce stress and anxiety for pets.
Companion Animal Clinic offers a variety of equipment and capabilities including a surgical suite, dental suite along with a dental x-ray, digital radiography, and ultrasound. Each veterinarian is supported by one to two assistants. The practice also offers medical and vacation boarding that is managed by designated boarding staff.
