Neil has served on Medidata Solutions' board of directors since 2002. He is also currently the president, chief executive officer of Golden Living, a leading provider of long-term care. Prior to joining Golden Living, Neil was the president and CEO of TorreyPines Therapeutics Inc., a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company, as well as president of Ingenix Pharmaceutical Services, a division of UHG, and a member of the UHG Executive Board. Additionally, he co-founded Worldwide Clinical Trials, a contract research organization, where he held the positions of president and chief executive officer until its acquisition by United Health Group in 1999. Neil held various senior positions with Boots Pharmaceuticals, Bayer Corporation, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Merck. He currently serves on the board of NeurogesX, a specialty pharmaceutical company. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from New York University and an M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
