Key Responsibilities: * Own and lead large-scale data center hardware programs-from concept through delivery and sustaining-ensuring schedule, budget, and quality commitments are met. * Develop program scope, milestones, resource plans, and success criteria in collaboration with engineering, operations, facilities, procurement, and senior leadership. * Drive day-to-day program execution, including cross-functional coordination, issue resolution, dependency management, and risk mitigation. * Manage program schedules and planning frameworks; proficiency with Microsoft Project or comparable tools is beneficial. * Establish and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships to support hardware procurement and delivery timelines. * Lead executive-level reporting: provide clear program status updates, risks, and escalation paths to stakeholders and leadership. * Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in data center hardware development and sustaining operations. * Oversee program budgets, track financials, and ensure cost-effective execution. This is an office based position and is expected to comply with the Company's onsite work policy. While there is a strong preference for San Diego location, Qualcomm's Austin site can also be considered. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. * 8+ years of Program Management or related work experience. Preferred Qualifications: * Extensive experience in program management with a track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary hardware programs. * Hands-on experience with data center hardware and lab infrastructure development, testing, deployment, and vendor management. * Strong understanding of data center operations, hardware components, and supporting infrastructure. * High-level familiarity with software lifecycle concepts and reliability topics (e.g., RAS, Silent Data Errors) is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority. * Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership. * Proficiency with program management tools and software. * Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in hyperscale data center design and operations. * Project/Program Management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus. Duties and Responsibilities * Own and manage the usage of Lightpath's Fiber Network. * Effectively manage and support a team of Fiber Engineers to ensure consistently meeting needs of our business & customers. * Set team objectives based on departmental goals & regularly report on overall progress as well as various project milestones. * Provide mentoring and coaching to a team of direct reports regarding day-to-day decision-making, responsibilities & output. * Own systems & process training of all team members to ensure meeting departmental standards & maintaining high level quality output. * Independently own and resolve day-to-day escalations requiring manager-level engagement to clear roadblocks. * Accountable for team's overall output ensuring meeting departmental SLAs & expectations. * Establish and maintain effective communications and a professional working relationship with customers both internal and external, including Lightpath service delivery, project management, circuit design, OSP construction, sales engineering, vendors, and customers. * Make decisions regarding the usage of our fiber network and how it is to be leveraged to enable our customers' success. Will include designing fiber routes for various telecom services such as Dark Fiber, Ethernet, SD-WAN, WDM, DIA, Small Cell, and FTT services. * Produce creative solutions using Lightpath assets to deliver unique services for our customers' needs supporting design criteria such as distance limitations, diversity needs, or specific routing requirements. * Lead training for both individuals and groups within the department to help further their knowledge of industry practices and procedures. * Research existing databases, files, and records for purposes of network design, fiber optimization, customer communications, and/or relocation of fiber facilities. * Create and provide output specifying selected fiber path and required splicing work to be performed for new fiber-based service installations, relocation of existing fiber facilities, and/or restoration of existing traffic. * Ensure company records are accurate by inputting and maintaining data of physical assets in our GIS database. * Provide real-time support for in-field customer maintenance & repair activities. * Analyze, approve, & organize fiber trace data to support service delivery or maintenance activities. * Ensure inventory of fiber usage & customer service records are accurate by inputting and maintaining circuit data in our GIS database. * Organize workday efficiently to maximize productivity by utilizing proper time management techniques. * Assist in the accomplishment of company objectives or needs by performing other related duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications * 7+ years of telecom fiber network experience, preference within construction or fiber engineering departments. 4-Year Degree in Engineering is a plus. * Ability to function independently and self-motivate. * Strong interpersonal skills for supporting and communicating with a variety of cross functional teams. * Strong aptitude for training, mentoring, & inspiring team members. * Proficiency using & leveraging GIS-based data management system. * Proficiency in usage of Google Earth & creating/managing KMZ files. * Knowledge & experience regarding fiber construction & engineering practices. * Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools including MS Visio. * Previous leadership and team management experience is a plus. * Experience using Salesforce.com platform is a plus. * Experience using AutoCad is a plus. * Proficient analytical, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize assignments.
