A shop hourly position with the primary responsibilities of partnering with Team Leaders as well members of the Assembly and Quality Teams to ensure BAC product quality standards are met or exceeded on every product. This is accomplished through collaborative communication with operational teams when conducting test and audit activities during manufacturing processes, and a bias toward action in implementing sustainable corrective actions and continuous improvements. The Quality Technician is the primary owner of the Quality metric, taking action to address trends, and conducting root cause analysis to identify the cause including environmental or human factors contributing to errors. As a senior mechanic, the Quality Technician is an influencer, who provides qualitative feedback and quantitative data to his/her internal customers enabling them to make real time process improvements toward the goal of 100% FPY. The Quality Technician reports to the Quality Manager and supports the functional Team Leader while demonstrating BAC's values of Earning Trust, Embracing Responsibility, Showing Courage, and Driving Innovation. The purpose for every position at BAC regardless of department or level can be summed up as doing the right thing in the right way. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Owns personal and team safety. Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. • Responsible for performing set up, in-process, and final inspection on product and finished goods in assigned areas • Download and maintain Shipping, Knockdown and Field Service photos for all products • Audit processes for execution and completion to documented standards • Update and post Hospital metric • Document process improvements resulting from root cause analysis • Training mechanics on lessons learned and process improvements • Participate in continuous improvement activities and projects. • Perform other duties as assigned by plant leadership. • Contribute to departmental safety improvements. • Daily review of Component and/or Unit Verification Records to prioritize next day activities • Facilitate and lead Weekly Warranty Review process partnering with line mechanics • Offer assistance with re-work as needed. • Continuously and proactively communicate with critical stakeholders (Team Leaders, Inspectors, Supply Chain) regarding findings from inspections, audits, and observations • Track Warranty Internal Actions in a spreadsheet including comments and action taken • Ensure Inspection Reports are accurate at all times. Collaborate with Engineering, Corp Manufacturing, and Operations regarding discrepancies • Ensure team and individual activities embrace sustainability, reduce the impact on the environment, minimize waste, maximize recycling, minimize energy and water usage. • Support a culture of innovation through original thinking to improve processes, methods, systems or services; translates new ideas into business opportunities NATURE & SCOPE The position serves in a support role to Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering providing critical feedback and data. The Technician reports on a direct basis to the Quality Manager. He / she provides hands on instruction and mentoring to junior mechanics. As a senior mechanic, expertise may be requested to participate on local or regional project teams. Expectation is to operate as an influencer and technical / subject matter expert KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS • Effective written communication including documentation of processes, and the communication of those processes with fellow mechanics. Ability to communicate to supervisors and co-workers with written memos or emails that are professional, concise and clearly understood. • Demonstrated oral communication skills including the ability to communicate professionally with BAC customer and co-workers. The ability to share information verbally that is clearly understood and technically accurate. • Strong competency with Root Cause Analysis techniques such as 5Y and Fish Bone analysis • Competent in math including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractional computations, and fraction to decimal conversions. • A minimum of two years' experience in BAC Assembly or Fabrication department is preferred • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings for Assembly, Sheet Metal and Welding • Experience with continuous improvements. • Thorough knowledge of all hazards related to machine operation and related safety sensitive areas of the department and plant. • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety standards. • High level of product knowledge of BAC's numerous models and parts. • Computer competency with MS Excel including updating data and generating metrics in pre-formatted spreadsheets. • Demonstrated flexibility to work on multiple projects and adapt to change. • Ability to work on cross functional teams in support of plant objectives. • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train others employing principles of adult learning • Knowledge of Lean tools and techniques including facilitating Kaizen events WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Standing is to be expected up to 80% of the time. Additional activities include: walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and sitting. Some weekend overtime is to be expected. Working temperatures include both wide fluctuations within the plant as well as ambient outside temperatures.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final product testing for resin, milling, and paint plants. This position will support production and ensure product quality and compliance with applicable standards and customer specifications prior to shipment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Test and inspect raw materials to ensure company specifications are met
Perform testing following test methods on finished good samples: wet QC testing and final dirt checks
Provide in process support to QC Correction Specialists in relation to investigation and correction of abnormal batches.
Identify off quality product during the QC process and work through the abnormal process to correct
Coordinate the containment of suspect product
Verify QC packages meet customer requirements and release to shipping
Manage and maintain the retain storage area
Dispose/recycle retain samples per work instructions

Utilize and implement simple troubleshooting techniques to ensure test equipment is operating as intended.
Proficiently use the Quality modules in SAP
Track, analyze, and report data utilizing statistical methods
Recommend improvement areas to the Quality Control Manager based on analysis of data. This includes but not limited to, formula and specification changes, test methods and procedures, production and process concerns.
Manage the requisitioning and maintaining of lab supplies
Participate in the QC laboratory 5S efforts; ensuring items are arranged to promote efficient workflow and good housekeeping is maintained to promote a safe work environment

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bilingual Inspector. In this role, you will ensure efficient operations, maintain quality standards, and foster a collaborative team environment. Inspectors work throughout the plant but primarily at the end of the Upholstery line to inspect finished furniture before it is sent to the Shipping department. This position requires a close attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be Bilingual Spanish/ English.
Summary of essential job functions:
Inspects completed furniture for defects in finish, construction, or upholstery, to ensure conformance with manufacturing standards: Verifies color, pattern, and grade of upholstery, using ticket specifications
Inspects upholstery cover for rips in fabric or seams
Feels upholstery padding to determine if padding conforms to specified degree of firmness
Examines wooden surfaces for defects in assembly, wood, or finish
Removes wrinkles, using hand steamer and removes soil marks using cleaning fluid
May stamp or mark furniture to indicate acceptation or rejection
May repair minor defects in finish, using heated blade, wax, lacquer, and stain stick
Facilitate clear communication within the team, conveying important information and updates in both English and Spanish.
Minimum requirements:
High school diploma preferred, and previous furniture inspection experience highly preferred
Abilities required:
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Attention to detail/high quality expectations
Must perform job with safety as a top priority
Must be able to show up to work on-time, every day, and take direction from supervisor(s)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to stand on feet for entire shift (8 to 10 hrs. per day)
Ability to get along with others and work in a team environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively on a daily basis
Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
