Quality Technician (Food & Beverage) Conway, AR The Opportunity The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality functions to ensure products meet established Smurfit WestRock and customer quality standards. This role works closely with Production, the Quality Manager, and the Customer Service Department to support quality assurance activities across the plant. Responsibilities include calibration and maintenance of testing equipment, conducting quality, customer, and regulatory audits, and managing product samples and testing to ensure consistency of incoming materials and finished production. The Quality Technician will coordinate with the Quality Manager on rework activities and may lead sorting and rework processes as needed. This role also supports quality improvement initiatives, complaint management and resolution, and assists in maintaining the plant\u2019s Quality Program and SQF certification. Perform major inspections of the aircraft. Inspect modifications, alterations and repairs to the aircraft, components, major assemblies or sub-assemblies to applicable approved data and document their findings in accordance with FAA and company procedures. Job Description PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Interpret blueprints, CATIA models, company standards, work instructions, and perform necessary calculations using shop math to conform tooling, detailed parts, assemblies and installations. Perform complete inspection of components, major assemblies, sub-assemblies, production tools or parts during manufacturing, modifications, installations to determine safety or conformance to standards and requirements. Interpret and check complex prints, engineering change orders and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications. Apply technical knowledge in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, etc. to determine and sign off safety, airworthiness, or conformance. Use precision measuring guides, gauges and laboratory instruments. Suggest dispositions of damaged or worn parts and the possibility of salvage based on FAA regulations, company practices or procedures. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Minimum of five (5) years aircraft related experience FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Good knowledge of FAA regulations as pertaining to aircraft maintenance. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, aircraft diagrams, charts and schematics. Must have required tools.
