Some of the responsibilities to operate as a Technician V include Operate and maintain welding equipment, machining equipment, CNC equipment and mechanical tools. Technicians read and interpret design prints and specifications, lift parts and materials up to 35lbs by hand, utilize cranes and lifting devices to transport heavier parts and materials. Technicians inspect and evaluate products with precision measurement tools and techniques, stand for extended periods of time and track and communicate project progress. If hired, CI Technicians are required to complete all classes assigned by the section manager. CI Technicians must interact with production and management employees in a professional and productive manner, working with multiple departments to provide solutions for continuous improvement opportunities. CI technicians will work together on larger projects and receive feedback on projects from shop floor personnel.
