The position supports other quality functions to achieve plant objectives and involves shipping external samples, conducting physical, sensory, and ingredient testing, and using lab instrumentation such as XRF machines, FTIR, pH meters, and conductivity meters. Responsibilities + Conduct sampling, inspection, and testing of materials, in-line samples, and finished products. + Perform water and environmental assessments for quality conformance. + Support other quality functions to meet plant objectives. + Ship external samples efficiently. + Conduct physical, sensory, and ingredient testing in-house. + Operate lab instrumentation, including XRF machines, FTIR, pH meters, and conductivity meters. + Utilize sieve shakers to assess product purity. Essential Skills + Experience in food manufacturing. + Proficiency in quality control and quality assurance processes. + Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). + Understanding of Chemistry, Biology, and Microbiology. + Experience with laboratory equipment and physical lab testing (e.g., pH meter, XRF, FTIR). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related Life Science degree. + Or a high school diploma with over 3 years of quality assurance or lab experience, ideally in a food manufacturing company. + Reliable and proficient in basic testing procedures. + Interest in expanding testing capabilities and knowledge of ICP mineral testing and microbiology.
