Factory Support: Under direction of others, execute necessary activities to evaluate supplied components are compliant with engineering specifications prior to release for production. Continuous Process Improvement: Independently and/or in collaboration with internal working partners, define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes, programs and supplier performance to effectively, efficiently and proactively achieve strategic business initiatives and/or key performance indicators. Job Overview: The Quality Technician performs a variety of tests to ensure units function according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure, using test instruments: Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used. Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections per applicable prints and specifications. Responsibilities: Performs inspection of parts for conformance with engineering or other process specifications or instructions When applicable, use CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Calibrate and verify accuracy on precision gages. Must follow gauging part check procedure. Identifying and monitoring production machine parameters. Monitoring and testing product/batch quality Needs working knowledge of GD&T and able to read part drawings. Utilizes performance, test, and inspection data to investigate causes for product nonconformance and field problems and plays an active role in problem resolution. Helps Identify areas of production/processes that can be improved upon. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection experience in a factory environment Preferences: 3+ years of experience in quality in a manufacturing environment supporting industrial parts and product manufacturing Experience operating a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), programming experience a plus.     As a Quality Technician, you will split your time equally between working on the plant floor and in a lab setting. Your primary role will be to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in our production processes. Responsibilities + Perform inspections, including pre-operative and food safety, and document and communicate results. + Conduct daily operating inspections to ensure compliance with GMPs and USDA requirements. + Perform magnet and metal detector record checks and inform the supervisor of any deficiencies. + Conduct ATP swab tests, including daily and weekly line swabs. + Calibrate lab equipment such as scales, pH meters, and salt analyzers. + Conduct organic start-up tests, ensuring documentation of appropriate cleaning processes and pH levels. + Review previous day's HACCP records daily. + Change thermometer recorder charts as needed. + Perform quality audits, including systems, production scales, and salt analyzers, and document findings. + Conduct in-bound checks and verify COAs to ensure they meet requirements. + Maintain stock of laboratory and production supplies as directed. + Serve as a liaison with the USDA. + Distribute weekly code date sheets promptly. + Report and follow up on food safety and quality concerns. + Perform pizza line coverage checks. + Notify the supervisor of all downtimes. + Enforce food safety PPE/GMP requirements and report any concerns. + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
