The Coordinator II, Quality Systems plays a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting the integrity of Quality Systems within a regulated environment. This position is responsible for ensuring GxP records are properly managed and accessible, while contributing to the effectiveness of core quality processes. Primary areas of focus include quality event management and support of complaint handling activities.
The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to uphold regulatory standards and internal procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administer and monitor quality event processes, ensuring conformance to established standards and tracking operational performance.
Sort, categorize, and manage records in alignment with retention schedules, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
Organize and maintain physical and electronic records to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and traceability.
Support complaint handling processes by accurately entering product complaint data into the quality system.
Assist with the maintenance, control, and issuance of controlled logbooks.
Provide support across Quality System areas, including audits, CAPAs, document control, and training activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the life sciences or medical device industry.
Knowledge & Technical Skills
Strong foundation in records management and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with MasterControl or similar Quality Management Systems.
Broad experience across Quality functions, including customer complaint processes.
Working knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR, EU GMP, ICH, ISO, QSR, and related regulations and standards.
Professional Competencies

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.

Position Summary:
Assist Quality Manager to reduce and eliminate internal and external rejects
Understand and work within the guidelines of the current quality system
Organize, Maintain, and Document all product dimensional checks and approvals

Assist production staff with completing In Process Inspection Forms

Education/Experience:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform in-process quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to verify instructions are being followed and built to print.
Perform internal auditing.
Perform PPAP / First Article review process
Help create outgoing inspection instructions for individual assemblies.
Initiate and complete RAs, CAPAs and NCs.
Perform end of production inspection on wiring harnesses.
Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.
Work closely with Quality Manager on continuously improving our processes and work toward leaner manufacturing.
Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, and Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.

Perform repetitive inspection following standard methods and procedures
Visually inspect product using a variety of precision measuring instruments
Check dimensions and finishes against blueprint or work order specifications
Mark test parts with appropriate language per job specifications
Initiate accept/reject decisions and know when to call more qualified individuals for marginal evaluations
Contain defective material at source

Inspect and calibrate test equipment; document dates and results
Write formal inspection reports
Lead problem solving activities to determine root cause

Role Qualifications as a Quality Inspector 2 :
Preferred candidates will have background knowledge in inspection, be able to read a tape measure and blueprints, and use basic hand tools as well as a caliper and micrometer. Other combinations of formal training and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of industry specifications (AWS, ASTM-123, DOT, etc)
Knowledge of problem-solving activities and ability to apply those engineering/lean concepts
Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and shop floor control, applications
Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork
Effective and appropriate oral communication skills including legible handwriting in English
