Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience); 2- or 4-year degree or 2-4 years of related experience/training acceptable.
Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in labels or similar industries.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Math skills (including Algebra) and knowledge of printing/converting materials and technologies.
Excellent communication and training skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to travel for internal and customer visits and trials.

Occasional lifting of rolls/samples up to 40-45 lbs.

JOB PURPOSE
The Lead Auditor / Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist is responsible for the overall facility internal auditing activities. The Lead Auditor / QMS Specialist all QMS and Audit related activity for the facility, while consulting and advising departments and ACIE / CIE / Top Leadership on QMS gaps and/or improvements by summarizing and reporting QMS / Audit activity on a regular basis. This role supports the N.A. QMS Committee and represents the facility as an ISO SME/QMS. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
QMS Related:
Lead / Assist development and maintenance of the Russells Point, Ohio facility level procedures (QAPs).
Lead training activities for QMS related items within the Russells Point, Ohio facility.
Support the NA Quality Committee for the development and implementation of the Honda North American Quality Manual and supplements as the Russells Point, Ohio facility Lead.
Serve as the facility administrator for DocuQuest, PeopleQuest, AuditQuest and RecordQuest.
Support development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality management system based on ISO 9001, G-HQS, NA QMS and local QMS requirements.
Auditing Related:
Serve as the ISO 9001 Lead Auditor for Russells Point, Ohio facility.
Co-Lead for External audits of ISO 9001 Certification Registrars and support Regional N.A. or HDMA audits as requested.
Issue Internal audit plans, conduct audits per the approved audit plan, and issue audit reports, obtaining all required approvals and maintaining the records for the completed internal audits

Support development, training, and management of the internal auditing team for ISO 9001

Reporting Related:
Liaison and Support to the PUO CIE and/or TMP-OH ACIE's, providing updates related to the health of the Quality Management System, including the implementation of continual improvement objectives

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (relevant manufacturing, quality, and auditing experience)

Essential functions
* QA Techs are responsible for ensuring adherence to food quality and food safety rules and regulations as required by the quality standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements
* Ensure all products being run conform to the product specifications as outlined in SAP by conducting analysis on raw deliveries, syrup batches, and treated water
* Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials including packaging materials and determine status of materials (acceptable or not)
* Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed
* Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, increase yields, and eliminate out of specification or damaged product
* Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits to monitor all aspects of finished product and packaging integrity
* Check process control parameters to assure proper equipment application and operation is being maintained by performing secure seal, closure torque, and seaming checks.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness
* Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by senior support

Job Purpose
The candidate assures quality products for our customer through the resolution of drivetrain warranty concerns by utilizing engineering theory and principles to identify the root cause of market problems with transmissions, transfers, rear differentials and related component parts.
