The Machine Learning Engineer II will be a member of the Learning and Active Perception (LEAP) group in AV's MacCready Works division and support the development of a variety of innovative computer vision capabilities (object detection, classification, localization, and tracking) and other image/video analytics for defense and commercial applications. This also includes daily production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, etc. Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel, to ensure smooth production flow and meet production targets. Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product. Read and interpret Solidworks engineering drawings as needed for accurate and safe brake operation. Maintain and operate hand tools necessary to set-up, take apart and to operate the equipment. Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve bending processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. Perform other projects and duties as assigned. Job Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 2 years' experience in machine operation or mechanical ability and aptitude to understand how manufacturing equipment works together in a line to produce high quality products. 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or have general knowledge of metalworking, bending and tooling. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma Technical secondary education is preferred.
