Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Ensure compliance with permit clearances, warranty bond conditions and utility assets are put into service.
Participates in selection and contracting of consultants, determines project costs for engineering projects, manages financial oversight of invoices and budget matters and approvals, tracks scheduled progress of design and construction activities, reports all aspects of project progress and issues to the Utilities Engineering Manager, and facilitates problem and issue resolution for design and construction projects.

Administers professional services contracts, negotiates changes in scope of work and approves field changes for capital projects as necessary.
Prepares recommendations for the Division's budget and Capital Improvement Program.
Makes decisions and recommendations on engineering problems and methods, using best engineering practices.
Confers with various support staff, such as Inspectors and Technicians, in support of assigned projects.
Uses AutoCAD to generate design plans and update County Details for the construction of potable water, wastewater and reclaimed water projects.
Use hydraulic modeling software to model the County's water, wastewater and reclaimed models to determine capacity analysis, water age and residual calculations.

SurePods, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking a motivated VDC Engineer with an understanding of commercial construction, plumbing, and electrical, combined with a natural aptitude for material handling and logistics. This position will require actively managing and participating in regular standing design meetings for multiple projects both on site, and via web meetings. Excellent notetaking, organization, and communication skills are a must.
The VDC Engineer works closely with Project Managers to ultimately deliver approved modular component design documents to the production team and support any design changes that arise through the mock-up and production process. A suitable candidate will be able to rapidly learn the modular components of the bathroom. Consulting with other SurePods team members, this candidate will efficiently convert design concepts into Revit models and drafting documents. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintain excellent notes and translate design concepts into detailed 3D Models.
* Develop detailed construction and manufacturing drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD Software.
* Maintain a high proficiency in Revit as well as effectively manage and communicate with a team of drafters.
* Manage the BIM data shared with clients and meticulously document revisions and changes.
* Conduct pre-construction meetings to coordinate modular designs with construction trade partners.
Required Skills and Abilities

* Fully understand the manufacturing process in the plant in order to better design products for manufacturability.

* Ability to collaborate on the plant floor working with the process team on immediate conflicts.
* A strong understanding of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, BOX, and common file-sharing platforms.
* Fundamental understanding of MEP Systems and commercial construction, and/or willingness to be trained.
* Satisfaction in seeing designs being rapidly constructed in-house.
* A strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude.
Education and Experience
* Associate's degree in Architecture or Engineering.
* Accredited training & certification and/or professional experience with AutoCAD and REVIT or other 3D modeling software.
* 2 - 5 years of experience working with Autodesk Revit with advanced documentation and modeling skills.
* Carpentry apprenticeship or equal experience.
Physical Requirements
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Frequent walking, standing, squatting when on the factory floor.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
* Travel expected to be 10% of time.
* Work primarily out of the Orlando, FL office.
