At Vantor, you'll work with the U.S. Space Force and our partners as part of the effort to define and manage an integrated system-of-systems space enterprise, specifically focused on Space Systems Command's (SSC) Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO). You will be supporting the SSC BNN office, working to achieve Global Mission Data Dominance (GMDD) by bringing together critical capabilities to empower operators with the information and tools they need to achieve sensor-to-shooter dominance - rapidly detecting threats, sharing critical information, and enabling swift and decisive action.
As part of this role, you will:
Support Gov Lead with technical coordination and systems engineering for SSC's I3E contract (Integrated, Immersive, Intelligent Environment)
Support meetings and architecture discussions with the development contractors and onboarding mission use cases
Develop and track program metrics, risks, and deliverables
Lead, coordinate, task the SE&I team as the GOV Lead's touchpoint

Basic Qualifications:

This is a Full-Time position supporting Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Ventura County Naval Base Port Hueneme. This position supports a broad portfolio of Autonomous Maritime System (AMS) programs in the geographic region onboard a fast-growing local team.
You will be part of our Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) team team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology systems. You will provide technical support for our customer as part of an integrated team.
The USV Hull Engineer provides support in operating, troubleshooting, and repairing major power generations systems, including shipboard main propulsion, electrical power generation and distribution, and auxiliary systems, Manages planned maintenance periods, Troubleshoots problems within project/program, providing analysis and solution recommendations. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Reports to a Program Manager or head of a unit/department under limited to no supervision. This position will support onsite Naval Base Port Hueneme.
In this role, you will:
The USV Hull Engineer will perform scheduled and corrective maintenance, integration, testing, field installation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment and systems.
* Serve as liaison between NAVSEA, PMS406, Warfare Centers, payload teams, USVRON-1, ship's force, contractors and the waterfront's technical community
* Assist in managing the overall vessels and be the onsite, Port Hueneme representative for all PMS406 objectives
* Assist in managing the coordination of shipboard testing and new technology integration schedules
* Assist in coordinating government and contractor teams
* Contribute to developing and maintaining the operational schedule for USVs by serving as the focal point for all planning and execution efforts
* Track and report upcoming events and milestones to Hull Manager, PMS 406 OPS PM, DAPM and APM
* Oversee the development of test plans and ensure synchronicity with all assigned objectives
* Manage test package and payload HW/SW integration for both GFE and CFE
* Monitor and report on installations and test progress
* Coordinate Sea Trials planning and manage problem identification, control and resolution
* Present at designated status conferences, IPTs, TEMs and Pre/Post mission briefs
* Provide oversight and tracking of all open maintenance issues and resolution efforts
* Support development of shipyard availability work packages and SOWs while overseeing vendor executed task completion reports
* Coordinate efforts with In-Service Engineering activities as required
* Provide sound and seasoned technical judgement that follows company policies and procedures in meeting customer obligations.
* Assist with at-sea testing of UXVs and associated payload, including test plan development, test execution, and post-test analysis.
* Ability to solve problems during high stress environments such as field testing in austere conditions.
* Travel and at-sea watch standing will be required.

Role Overview
Serve's simulation platform plays a pivotal role in the continuous development of our autonomy stack. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in developing advanced simulation features including procedural generation tools, agent behaviors, and highly realistic rendering for robotics applications. These simulation environments will serve as critical platforms for training machine learning models. Leveraging the large volumes of multimodal data collected from our robots, you will help bridge the gap between real-world data and simulated environments, enabling effective real-to-sim transfer at scale.
Responsibilities
Simulation Bring-up: Lead the setup, configuration, and deployment of simulation environments for robotics testing and validation.
Worldbuilding Tools: Design and develop tools to generate highly realistic digital townscapes, including roads, sidewalks, vegetation, signage, and other urban elements.
Asset Integration: Create and integrate 3D assets that blend seamlessly into complex, real-world-inspired environments.
Unreal Engine Development: Utilize Unreal Engine 5 to build, optimize, and manage immersive simulation environments.
Synthetic Data Pipelines: Integrate simulation environments into workflows for generating large-scale training datasets for ML and robotics perception models.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with robotics engineers, ML researchers, and software developers to ensure simulation fidelity, scalability, and usefulness.
