This is a custodial position responsible for cleaning and minor maintenance and repair tasks in the upkeep of building interiors and exteriors for a department, agency, hospital, or school. Duties involve the application of simple routines and procedures in accomplishing cleaning tasks, minimal trade skills when performing maintenance and repair tasks. This position is distinguished from the position immediately below, Cleaner, by responsibility for maintenance and repairs, and the operation of floor cleaning equipment such as rider and walk behind autoscrubbing machines, polishing equipment, and small lawnmowers. The Custodial Assistant may exercise limited supervision over Cleaners, including responsibility for proper completion of work assignments. Does related work as required
One (1) year paid full time or its part time equivalent experience in building cleaning work. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: If you are appointed, you will be required to have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position. When assigned to the Rochester City School District: Switches alarm systems from manual to automatic before leaving building for the night. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Working knowledge of building cleaning procedures, materials, and equipment; working knowledge of cleansing agents and proper application; working knowledge of cleaning and mowing equipment operation and proper safety measures; ability to follow oral and written instructions, especially as printed on cleansing agents and mechanical equipment; ability to read and write simple sentences; ability to communicate orally and in writing; ability to operate cleaning equipment and lawnmowers; ability to make minor maintenance repairs; ability to perform repetitive, basic cleaning tasks; ability to pay attention to safety when using cleansing agents and electrical and mechanical equipment; good judgment; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

What You Will Do
The Field Research Scientist supports and manages the day-to-day operations of the research program in an assigned territory, by working with regional Site Leads and key stakeholders to plan, establish, maintain, collect accurate agronomic data from, and harvest corn soybean, wheat, and cotton trials.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Must be located in or around one of the following areas: Southern New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Virginia.
* Ensure safe and efficient operation of the research program with respect to budgetary guidelines and expectations and support the site ESH program as it applies to North American Field Testing and Operations.
* Selection, preparation, and maintenance of multiple field testing sites. This requires safe driving including frequent trailer use hauling loads in excess of 10,000 lbs; pre-trip inspections and use of log books.
* Plays a vital role in trial preparation including seed processing, packaging, shipping, protocol review, trial placement, and mapping/field design.
* Maintain field trial sites as week, insect, and disease free;
* Having a confident ability in identifying key weeds, insect, and disease problems is critical, as is timely and accurate implementation of control measures;
* With the use of handheld electronic equipment and Monsanto proprietary software, collect notes on various agronomic traits (e.g. emergence uniformity, flowering date, lodging, height, maturity, shattering resistance) in a timely manner throughout the growing season;
* Harvest plots and collect samples for quality and statistical analysis; ensure harvest data is evaluated and relinquished in accordance with crop advancement deadlines to aid in product advancement decisions;
* Develop, maintain, and implement the use of controlled SOP documents, QMS procedures, and investigative protocols;
* Comply with all Monsanto regulatory compliance guidelines for Confined Release and Stewarded Trial material;
* Collaborate with other Agronomic Research Specialists, Site Leads, and Principal Investigators in order to facilitate efficient trial planning and placement;
* Sharing of ideas and techniques and quick response to issues that may arise (e.g. weather or pests affecting trials);
* Works closely with Plant Breeders, Principal Investigators, and Agronomic Research Specialist to filly understand the multiple stages of crop development and the importance of each step involved and share experiences cross-functionally as needed;
* Field selection, cooperator relations, and ability to learn research equipment operations and basic maintenance (all types), field maintenance, and data collection;
* Basic Agronomic knowledge/Crop Management knowledge;
* Technical savvy and ability to adhere to compliance and safety policies;
* Utilization of IT tools, time management, prioritization skills;
* Must be self motivated with good decision-making abilities;
* Accountable for business unit or project results through leadership and coordination across site strategy;
* Ability to prioritize and monitor projects to ensure completion within deadlines and budgets;

Responsibilities:
The Research Specialist II will provide direct research and teaching support at the professional level by working under general guidance and with latitude for exercising independent technical judgment, of moderate complexity and scope in a specialized field. Provides direct research support at a professional level in a large Neuroscience laboratory. Takes charge of a segment of research activities of moderate complexity. Responsible for conducting and analyzing experiments that comprise a coherent part of a larger project; and researching and resolving technical problems within the scope of those experiments.
Responsibilities:
Works independently with only occasional suggestions in modifying, varying or adapting standard procedures and experiments in the culture of human or rodent primary, Embryonic Stem cells (ES), Human Embryonic Kidney 293 Cells (HEK293) cells.
Trains and mentor's laboratory staff. Specifically, it ensures that all students and other lab staff in experimental group are trained in appropriate procedures. Advises students and lab staff on technical problems with their projects and assists them in the preparation of reports. Ensures that health and safety practices are maintained in accordance with University policy and regulations. Maintains contact with outside research laboratories, vendors, and technical representatives concerning the research. Orients visitors and onboard students and other lab staff to the laboratory.
As part of experimental procedures prepares, stains and photographs cell cultures using both light and fluorescent microscopes. Conducts
experiments; compiles and analyzes data: document results and prepare reports.
Carries out RNA isolation for genomic validation.
Analyzes histological material with computer-aided microscopy. Performs analyses and scientific data reductions by using standard methods and develops modifications of standard methods to meet special situations.
Performs complex histological procedures such as cryostat sectioning and immunohistochemistry.
Searches literature for references to technical problems involved in research projects; writes technical protocols; performs standard statistical analyses of data; and assists in the preparation of materials for publication.
Frequently gives both oral and written reports, including but not limited to, statistical and photographic analysis of data.
Maintains histological-related equipment and microscopes in the Goldman Lab, and is responsible for obtaining necessary supplies. Ensures appropriate and accessible labeling and organization of Myelin Group data and reagent storage. May recommend expenditures for equipment.
Works in tandem with lab associates in handling multiple transgenic and mutant animal colonies, maintaining databases of mouse colony mating and lineages. Verifies colony census and maintains records of DLAM procedures. Corresponds regularly with the animal resource department and lab on animal colony matters

What You Will Do
The Field Research Scientist supports and manages the day-to-day operations of the research program in an assigned territory, by working with regional Site Leads and key stakeholders to plan, establish, maintain, collect accurate agronomic data from, and harvest corn soybean, wheat, and cotton trials.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Must be located in or around one of the following areas: Southern New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Virginia.
* Ensure safe and efficient operation of the research program with respect to budgetary guidelines and expectations and support the site ESH program as it applies to North American Field Testing and Operations.
* Selection, preparation, and maintenance of multiple field testing sites. This requires safe driving including frequent trailer use hauling loads in excess of 10,000 lbs; pre-trip inspections and use of log books.
* Plays a vital role in trial preparation including seed processing, packaging, shipping, protocol review, trial placement, and mapping/field design.
* Maintain field trial sites as week, insect, and disease free;
* Having a confident ability in identifying key weeds, insect, and disease problems is critical, as is timely and accurate implementation of control measures;
* With the use of handheld electronic equipment and Monsanto proprietary software, collect notes on various agronomic traits (e.g. emergence uniformity, flowering date, lodging, height, maturity, shattering resistance) in a timely manner throughout the growing season;
* Harvest plots and collect samples for quality and statistical analysis; ensure harvest data is evaluated and relinquished in accordance with crop advancement deadlines to aid in product advancement decisions;
* Develop, maintain, and implement the use of controlled SOP documents, QMS procedures, and investigative protocols;
* Comply with all Monsanto regulatory compliance guidelines for Confined Release and Stewarded Trial material;
* Collaborate with other Agronomic Research Specialists, Site Leads, and Principal Investigators in order to facilitate efficient trial planning and placement;
* Sharing of ideas and techniques and quick response to issues that may arise (e.g. weather or pests affecting trials);
* Works closely with Plant Breeders, Principal Investigators, and Agronomic Research Specialist to filly understand the multiple stages of crop development and the importance of each step involved and share experiences cross-functionally as needed;
* Field selection, cooperator relations, and ability to learn research equipment operations and basic maintenance (all types), field maintenance, and data collection;
* Basic Agronomic knowledge/Crop Management knowledge;
* Technical savvy and ability to adhere to compliance and safety policies;
* Utilization of IT tools, time management, prioritization skills;
* Must be self motivated with good decision-making abilities;
* Accountable for business unit or project results through leadership and coordination across site strategy;

Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Manages and oversees the activities that establish, monitor and maintain human subject research, including responsibility for ensuring proper staff training. Plans, directs, monitors and coordinates all phases of human subject research, which may include multi-site, community-based research or multiple therapeutic areas. Manages, designs, implements and evaluates study changes. May supervise others up to two employees.
This position is lead prevention interventionist and project manager for multiple grants testing evidence-based programs (EVPs) that strengthen natural social networks in community settings. Preventing suicide, depression and substance use are focus areas of these EVPs. The position entails engaging community members and sites, coordinating and leading program implementation, and human subjects research to evaluate impact of these programs. Duties include recruiting sites, training of program implementers and supervising and monitoring program fidelity, independently implementing EVPs, liaising with site leadership, and interacting with research participants. May provide training on federal, state, sponsor and/or institutional regulations, policies and practices related to human subject research. May supervise others.
Responsibilities:
Overall Project Management: Lead site visits to community settings (overnight travel required) presenting to leadership, complete enrollment steps, and create project time-lines. Direct the activities of subordinate training and research staff; liaison between sites, study team, PI and University to monitor and maintain working relationships, positive communications and effective results with regard to program implementation and coordination of human subject studies.
Direct Evidence-Based Program Implementation: Develops and implements training curriculum to prepare Evidence-Based Program (EVP) implementers (school and UR trainer team) and trainer consultants. Delivers EVPs, conducts train-the-trainer preparation, and ongoing supervision and monitoring of trainer fidelity. Independently implement EVPs in multiple school settings.
Direct Human Subjects Research on Sites: Develops, implements, and evaluates recruitment strategies, standardized assessments with participants and data systems, as well as study management systems. Recruits and enrolls participants. Uses approved protocols to address safety concerns in coordination with site administrators.
Intervention, Study Design, Innovation: Contribute to the planning, development and refinement of each evidence-based program and study design, protocols, consent forms, processes and policies. Make recommendations to principal investigators for new approaches to extending EVPs for community organization leadership, trainers, and participants. Participating in writing academic papers and grants.
Supervisory duties: Trains and ongoing direction for research coordinators and other staff about activities associated with conducting human subject research specific to study protocols and generally in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCPs) guidelines and sponsor requirements. Directs the activities of subordinate staff and relevant others to gather, compile and analyze study information. Contribute to writing reports for funding agencies and schools.
Financial: Transact contracts with external organizations for trainer consultants. Transact school payments, track budgets, and reimburse program expenses.
Regulatory: Coordinates and monitors financial data for budget and variance reporting, and for compliance with all institutional requirements for adequate system controls. Keeps current with all federal, state, sponsor and institutional policies and laws, standard operating procedures, guidelines, and implements and monitors resulting study changes. Demonstrates accountability for continuous learning in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines. Keeps current with industry standards, best practices, and trends in therapeutic areas relevant to research studies and designs, implements and monitors resulting study changes.

5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Background in mental health and/or public health (strongly preferred).
Prior project management experience including leading a team to implement project protocols (preferred).
