Supervises, directs and evaluates completion of resident housekeeping assignments with area of responsibilities. Ensures necessary cleaning supplies are available and utilized properly.
Strictly adheres to key control system established by agency.
Dispenses/receives linens for residents.
Supervises meal service to residents as assigned, including seating residents and monitoring food intake of residents on special/restricted meals. Monitors kitchen crew when serving meals and assists in serving meals if necessary.
Maintains strict confidentiality with respect to all information obtained and processed in the operation of the River City Correctional Center.
Remains alert throughout work shift and maintains contact with personnel on duty to be aware of unusual situations that may arise and/or problems that need to be resolved.
Answers facility telephone on absence of Receptionist and monitors resident business telephone calls.
Supports, cooperates and works with other facility staff in meeting the needs of the program.

The Senior Resident Assistant (SRA) is a liaison between their Residence Hall Director and the Resident Advisors and students living within the residential community. SRAs are given training every semester to learn the pertinent information needed to perform duties and responsibilities effectively. The time commitment will vary from week to week, however, SRAs work approximately 25 hours per week over the course of the academic year.

Job Description

Hours: Summer CRAs work an average of 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule they help determine.
Summer Conference Resident Assistants (CRAs) act similarly to Resident Assistants by serving as liaisons and community builders between University Housing and Summer Conference groups. CRAs live and work in the residence halls to support conference participants, promote a positive and safe living environment, and assist with the daily operations of summer housing.
CRAs provide customer service, process assignments, participate in on-call duty rotations, support facilities operations, complete administrative tasks, assist with policy enforcement, and work front desk shifts. They also help prepare Housing for the fall semester and provide administrative support under the supervision of the Coordinator for Residential Services.

Primary Responsibilities
During summer months Residence Halls may be reserved for internal and external groups interested in utilizing the campus facilities. CRAs are responsible for supporting the daily operations of summer housing and summer conference groups. This includes:
* Guest Support & Customer Service: Greet conference participants and summer residents, answer questions, provide clear instructions, and resolve issues promptly.
* Check-ins and Check-outs: Conduct room assignments, verify resident information, issue keys, and ensure rooms are ready for new arrivals.
* Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, complete reports, document incidents, and respond to correspondence in a timely manner.
* Facilities Oversight: Monitor residence halls for safety and security, report maintenance issues, and ensure public spaces are orderly.
* Policy Enforcement: Enforce University Housing policies and procedures consistently and professionally.
* Master Key Management: Use the master key system responsibly for room access when necessary.
* On-Call Duty: Participate in night and weekend rotations to respond to emergencies or resident concerns.
* Meetings & Communication: Attend weekly staff meetings, relay important information to supervisors, and coordinate with other staff members.
* Room Inspections & Inventories: Conduct detailed room inspections, document room conditions, and maintain accurate inventories.
Summer Conference Staff must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, able to move through three story building via stairs, able to climb and descend stairs while carrying supplies, materials and/or furniture as needed.
Qualifications
Undergraduate candidates must have a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5 or higher, while graduate candidates must have a cumulative and semester GPA of 3.5 or higher. Candidates must be able to live in University-assigned on-campus housing and be available to attend weekly staff meetings as well as work some nights and weekends. Desk Managers are expected to discuss any internships or other jobs during their employment with the Coordinator for Residential Services. All students must be in good standing with the University both financially and behaviorally.
