    We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Amusement Ride Mechanic to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of amusement rides and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and guest safety. Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections (daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and as required) of rides and equipment, using both visual and auditory assessments to identify issues and perform corrective actions promptly. Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, including inspection, repair, and testing of ride components. This may involve servicing or replacing parts such as hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, gears, chains, sprockets, hoses, brakes, clutches, wheels, bearings, gearboxes, springs, and other mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure guest safety. Follow established repair procedures and maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs. Submit all required documentation to management in a timely and organized manner. Communicate ride status updates clearly and effectively, both verbally and through written reports. Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and operational condition, in compliance with applicable codes, laws, company policies, and industry best practices. Perform advanced tasks based on experience, such as welding (MIG, TIG, and Arc), metal fabrication, and operating machinery including lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools. Read and interpret technical documentation, including manufacturer manuals, service guides, and mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints, to support accurate repairs and component replacements. Support other maintenance activities and projects as assigned by leadership. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Valid state drivers license. 24 years of verifiable experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or amusement park setting. Solid understanding of basic mechanical principles, including gear ratios, torque, proper use of hand tools, and mechanical terminology. Familiarity with power transmission components such as bearings, bushings, couplers, and shafting. Demonstrated knowledge of pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems; proficiency in both is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Comfortable working at heights up to 300 feet on ladders, platforms, or other elevated structures. Key Responsibilities: + + Provides maintenance and repairs for the fleet of Streetcars on a daily basis in order to meet fleet availability requirements + Performs all maintenance and repair activities in compliance with OEM requirements, the streetcar maintenance program and associated SOPs + Supports servicing staff in ensuring Streetcars are serviced and clean for service availability + Supports MOF Facility Maintainer in the care and maintenance of shop equipment that is utilized for Streetcar maintenance and repair + Moves Streetcars into and out of the shop for inspections and servicing + Adheres to all safety and organizational rules, policies and procedures + Works with Streetcar manufacturer field personnel to support warranty work and administration + Inputs/provides accurate documentation in Maximo; the Company's Asset Management/MMIS program + Supports Transportation staff to ensure timely pullouts from the yard for revenue service on a daily basis + Supports Transportation staff in troubleshooting and towing disabled vehicles back to the MOF whenever required + Supports the Maintenance of Way working group whenever required + Reports all accidents, incidents, or unusual occurrences and accurately completes all required reporting and documentation + Diligently operates as an overseer of the Streetcar System in order to ensure a safe, secure and clean operation for the public and all employees and passengers Other duties as required Qualifications: + 21 years or older + Valid state license + Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional) + Excellent communication & customer service skills. + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
