As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Analyst, you will support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Client's EHS programs across all facilities. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, DEA, FDA, and state regulatory standards, promotes a safe and environmentally conscious workplace, and drives a culture of proactive risk management. You will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, QA, Facilities, and Engineering teams to support daily operations, audits, and training while contributing to sustainability and safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
Maintain and manage EHS documentation including SDS, hazardous waste manifests, injury logs, training records, and regulatory permits.
Coordinate EHS training sessions on safety, chemical handling, emergency response, and hazardous material management.
Support execution of company-wide EHS programs, procedures, and policies in compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, DEA, Cal/OSHA, etc.).
Conduct routine inspections and internal audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Monitor waste generation, recycling, air emissions, and water usage and support environmental sustainability efforts.
Track and report on key EHS metrics and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and environmental spills and support root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
Assist with DEA security and controlled substance compliance (21 CFR Part 1301).
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives for continuous improvement in safety culture and environmental responsibility.
Collaborate in planning for emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and risk assessments.
Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in EHS or compliance roles in a GMP-regulated or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with environmental reporting, hazardous waste handling, and safety data sheet management.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and DEA regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional coordination and training.
Experience with incident investigation and documentation practices.
Must live or be willing to move to Sacramento Metropolitan Region (Approx. 40 miles' radius).

* Assist PM Teams to assess the health and safety requirements of a project or jobsite prior to the initiation of any on-site work. This may include reviewing project specifications and/or participation in pre-deployment site walks.
* Assist PM Teams to audit/ensure that all jobsite personnel meet any necessary health and safety requirements prior to the initiation of work. * Assist PM Teams with writing site-specific HASPs and task-specific Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).

Related duties include calibration and set-up of monitoring instruments, download and management of electronic data, and packaging and shipping of sampling media to designated analytical laboratories.
* The HSO will assist the PM Team with response, investigation and reporting of job-related injuries and illnesses. The HSO will assume a lead role in coordinating case management with WorkCareTM and clinic/hospital staff to ensure appropriate evaluation and medical treatment is provided to the involved employee and will assist with documentation for Worker Compensation claims.

Maintain as project lead for execution of a worksite Health & Safety program at assigned project. Develop and administer site-specific Health & Safety program for assigned project, consistent with established Company policies and in accordance with applicable regulations and standards. Train workforce on safety procedures and requirements. Ensure all elements of contract safety requirements are being followed and adopted. Reports to Site Level Project Manager.
**Description**
+ Be assigned to the site on a full-time basis for the duration of field activities. The SSHO will have no duties other than Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) related duties.
+ Provide day-to-day onsite implementation and enforcement of the accepted APP/SSHP.
+ Have authority to stop work if unacceptable health or safety conditions exist and take necessary action to re-establish and maintain safe working conditions.
+ Ensure site compliance with specified SOH requirements, Federal, state and OSHA regulations and all aspects of the APP/SSHP including, but not limited to, activity hazard analyses, sound monitoring, use of PPE, site controls, standard operating procedures used to minimize hazards, safe use of engineering controls, the emergency response plan, confined space entry procedures (as required), spill containment program, and preparation of records by performing a daily safety inspection and documenting results on the Daily Safety Inspection Log.
+ Have an expert knowledge of EM-385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16.
+ Receive oversee and develop Activity Hazard Analysis forms for all definable features of work.
+ Conduct daily safety inspections and document findings into the Daily Safety Inspection Log. Track noted safety deficiencies to ensure that they are corrected.
+ Oversee daily safety briefs and prior to starting work, to include toolbox talks and briefing of daily applicable AHAs.
+ Oversee weekly review of upcoming AHAs with client to ensure alignment prior to start of work activity.
+ Confirm adherence to all Infection Control and Interim Life Safety protocols, including inspections on barriers, HEPA equipment, dust/dirt mitigation into the Medical Clinic and directional signage.
+ Provide ongoing evaluation of hazardous conditions. In coordination with site management, provide recommendations for changes to procedural or administrative controls and/or personal protective equipment to eliminate those hazards. Consult with the Site Superintendent, and the Contracting Officer to coordinate for any modifications to the accepted APP/SSHP and evaluate as the solution is implemented.
+ Schedule, coordinate and deliver weekly safety training/briefings to the workforce or procure weekly safety documentation from trade companies. Maintain training documentation and attendance records.
+ Investigate property damage and personal injury accidents to determine cause and methods to prevent recurrence.
+ Conduct accident investigations and prepare incident and accident reports for review by Management and as required by OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ Must be able to read, write and speak English.
+ Documented experience in construction techniques and construction safety procedures.
+ Ability to read project plans and specifications
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word & Excel.
+ Experience with Procore (Project Management Software) is preferred.
+ Experience with Government RMS (Resident Management System) is preferred.
+ Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information effectively in writing and in presentations or speeches to other employees.
**Education, Experience and Certification Required**
+ Construction Management Associate's Degree or higher, similarly completed certificate program or equivalent experience.
+ 5 years of experience as SSHO or similar in construction industry, with an emphasis on the Healthcare environment.
+ ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) Certificate (or ability to obtain post hire)
+ CPR & First Aid (or ability to obtain post hire)
+ Completion of OSHA 30-hour General Industry course (Can obtain prior to project mobilization)
