POSITION SUMMARY
The Cook will prepare, cook, season, and serve adequate, attractive, nutritious, and balanced meals. Eagle Crest Communities is seeking a Cook to join our top-notch culinary team at our Eagle Crest South facility. The Cook will provide a high-quality dining experience for residents by not only cooking but serving attractive and nutritious meals.
What You'll Do
Duties include quantity cooking, dish room duties, cleaning duties, serving resident's meals, restocking and other kitchen responsibilities.
Responsible for the daily preparation of fresh-made recipes such as salads, sandwiches and other Bistro items, as well as stocking items in the Bistro area as needed
Preparing supplies for cooking line and restocking diminished stock as needed, assist with baking and preparing desserts

Quantity cooking experience, a plus but not required
One year of cooking experience in a long-term care, hospital, or restaurant setting preferred but not required - We will train the right fit for our team!
Valid driver's license with clean driving record; this position will occasionally require transporting meals to other communities.
Our Wages
Our starting rate for experienced cooks is between $18.50 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Assistant/Prep Cook or Cook in Training starting: $16.50 - $18.50 based on experience and qualifications.
We pay for high performance! We will review your wage at 100 days.

North County Serenity House provides a gender-responsive and trauma-informed environment, using evidence-based and best practices that recognize and account for the role that trauma frequently plays in substance use and criminal histories of women. For clients with co-occurring mental illness, we provide integrated substance use and mental health services which treat both conditions as primary. The Cook contributes to the program by both independently and collaboratively operating within a dynamic, team-centered kitchen environment.
