What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Be at least 21 years of age.
Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

The on-call Security Officer provides services for a variety of large and small business clients where health, safety and security is our #1 priority. Responsibilities
* Personally monitors either visually, electronically or audibly a variety of assigned areas, or grounds by working in a variety of assignments including but not limited to roving inside the facilities, roving in a vehicle, other locations deemed appropriate.
* Ensures own actions and those of others observe maximum level of safety and compliance.
* Will verbally de-escalate situations to ensure the safety of fellow employees, customers and clients.
* Examines the interior and exterior of the facility and surrounding areas to determine they are secure.
* Reports and records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, etc.in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Warns violators of rule infractions and may apprehend or expel violators.
* Notifies on site individuals of visitors wishing to see them.
* Assists in properly responding to a variety of emergencies or disasters in order to preserve life and property, including but not limited to fire safety, active shooter protocol
* May perform routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs.
* May issue and record ID badges.
* May check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems to make sure they are operational.

* Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met.

Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED equivalent.
* At least two (2) years of security, law enforcement or military experience preferred.
* A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.
* As per contract requirements, must be 21 years of age.
* Must have or receive a valid TWIC card prior to employment.
* Must be able to obtain and pay the Louisiana Guard License fee prior to beginning work.
* Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
* Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
* Must be able to be on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation.
* Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
* Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for HANO pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

Patrols on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations.
Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to management.
Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
Prepares logs and reports as required.
Assesses the need for use of deadly force and less lethal force options including impact weapons, physical control holds, and verbal commands.
Provides traffic and crowd control; provides non-police related support services as needed.
Attends applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers and armed security work and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking A reliable and observant Security Officer to help ensure the safety and security of our hotel. As a Security Officer, you will patrol and monitor our beautiful facility, ensuring the well-being of guests and fellow team members while protecting our valuable property and assets. You will be the eyes and ears of our team, promptly reporting any suspicious or unsafe activities to security management for guidance and support. What You'll Do:
Monitor and control access to team member entrances, ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff.
Execute patrols throughout the hotel to identify and address safety hazards, contributing to overall guest satisfaction.
Respond effectively to emergencies in accordance with established Emergency Response Procedures, safeguarding lives and property.
Maintain detailed logs for visitor access and package removal, enhancing security protocols, and compliance with organizational policies.
Inspect packages entering and exiting the premises, preventing unauthorized items and maintaining facility integrity.
Document security incidents and actions taken, ensuring transparency and accountability within the security operations.
Enforce hotel policies and regulations consistently, fostering a culture of safety and respect among team members and guests.
Interact professionally with guests, addressing concerns and enhancing their overall experience at the hotel.
Monitor CCTV systems and assist in maintaining a secure environment, promptly reporting suspicious activities.
Facilitate communication with management on safety-related maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with safety standards.
Manage lost and found items efficiently to uphold hotel standards and improve guest trust and satisfaction.
Collaborate with team members to support health and safety training initiatives, reinforcing a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
Your Qualifications Includes:
Previous experience in hotel security or a related field required (1-3 years preference)
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations required
Ability to operate departmental vehicles, including electric transport vehicles required
Basic first-aid certification or ability to administer first aid preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is preferred
Knowledge of security systems, safety regulations, and emergency response protocols preferred
Experience using CCTV systems and other security technology preferred
Experience in customer service or hospitality to enhance guest interactions preferred
Background in law enforcement or military service is a plus
Strong observational and problem-solving skills to identify and address security concerns
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests and team members
Proficiency in report writing and documentation for incidents and safety issues
