REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * One (1) year of satisfactory employment as a full- time Certified Police Officer, two (2) years preferred, clearly indicating the maturity of the applicant. * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR Associate's degree from an accredited college/university, or sixty (60) college credit hours, or higher. This may also be ninety (90) quarter credits from an accredited college/university. OR Thirty (30) college credits from an accredited college/university, or forty-five (45) quarter credits from an accredited college/university. In this situation, the applicant must also have two (2) years of active duty military service. VI. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, AND/OR CERTIFICATES * Applicant must have a current valid driver's license and at least one (1) year of driving experience. Support facility security management duties including but not limited to key / control management, facility security inspections and assessments, alarm response including implement receipt/dispatch as applicable, and maintaining Intrusion Detection System and other facility security systems operability. The Journeyman SS shall support the preparation and submission of all required TEMPEST documentation. The Journeyman SS shall maintain DISS accounts to perform all personnel security functions. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Ability to provide clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal communication. Skill in satisfactorily dealing with customers. Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook. Minimum/General Experience: At least five (5) years of recent and relevant experience. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED. Must obtain Security Fundamental Professional Certification (SFPC) within 1 (one) year of employment and maintain certification for the duration of employment.
