Summary:

Be willing to undergo an NCIC/FBI criminal background report to include fingerprints. Must have a clean criminal history with no convictions or major traffic offenses
Must have experience and knowledge of security operations
Must have experience with basic force protection
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be medically fit and undergo medical testing
Must pass a Physical Ability Test (to include - run 1.5 miles in 17:30 minutes and 21 pushups in two minutes). This is strictly enforced, and exceptions or waivers will not be allowed

Regular working hours are 48 hours per week. Due to the nature of the proposed employment, the employee may work on different schedules on different days of the week as assigned by a supervisor and may also be required to work additional hours beyond scheduled time

As an Armored Security Guard (Route Team Member), you will operate an armored vehicle and oversee the safe pick-up and delivery of cash and valuables. You will work to ensure that every stop runs with precision and professionalism. As an applicant you should be comfortable working as part of a team. During the first 90-days you will start as a trainee and progressing quickly to a team member and then with the opportunity to be a manager of your own team.
Strong hires can quickly move from trainee to team member and then up to manager.
We provide a guaranteed minimum hourly pay range depending on seniority. $17 / hour to $25 / hour. Potential to earn $30 / hour based on earning commision from the number of completed stops. Maintain the safety and security of your Thillens team members and your armored vehicle at all times

Reconcile customer deposits and receipts of all valuables handled during daily business

The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. Scheduling Expectations
The scheduling parameters and expectations for a flex officer are different from those of an employee assigned to a fixed post. As a flex:
You will be trained at various posts and /or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment.
Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week's schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.
You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described on this sheet. In this role, the Security Guard will:
Respond to emergency call system.
Evaluate the need to notify any on-call personnel when necessary and follows designated procedures supporting on-call personnel as required.

Check and secures all security equipment, completes scheduled patrols of entire campus.
Check and secure all exterior doors in all buildings.

Responsible for monitoring all vehicle traffic and help maintain all of traffic policies.
Have knowledge about and familiarizes self with the entire campus, equipment areas, campus phone system, emergency fire equipment/panels, emergency pendant system and follows all appropriate procedures.
Have familiarity with utility shut-off locations, and able to reset HVAC chiller system, when not operating. In addition, familiar with fire detector indicator panel locations and understands shut-off techniques and panel reset procedures.
Write and distribute appropriate reports for all incidents.
Report all safety hazards and writes appropriate maintenance requests into the WorxHub software program.
Provide maintenance/housekeeping services at the direction of any leadership staff, on an emergency basis.
Provide non-emergency residential services that do not conflict with the main security purpose.
The ideal candidate will have:
High school education.
Two years experience in security or other related work.
Current state driver's license (CDL preferred) and a good driving record.
First aid certification and to have experience in emergency medical situations.
Ability to read and write in English, to communicate with the other employees and residents.
Good interpersonal skills, project a friendly personality, understand customer service and team building concepts, and have the ability to work with people, especially the elderly.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Good observational skills are required.
Ability to work under conditions that require flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
For California candidates, must maintain a valid and current California Security License.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $16.06 - $19.27 per hour. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) issued by the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) must be obtained on a one-time basis within two years of appointment to this role. Recertification is not required.
For North Carolina teammates, an Unarmed Guard License issued by NC Protective Services must be obtained within 1 year and maintained through training and competency assessments.
Stop the Bleed Certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire date.
A valid driver's license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicle.
