Position Summary:
As a hospital securityofficer, you protect staff, patients, and visitors and ensure that all hospital property is secure. Your duties are to patrol the building and its grounds, monitor all activity in and out of the hospital, and endeavor to prevent vandalism, theft, fire, and disturbances within the facility.
Position Duties (Not all Inclusive)
Periodically tours buildings and grounds, examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure and not tampered with.
Confronts unauthorized persons for questions, routs or detains them, or telephones police for assistance, according to circumstances.
Patrols hospital grounds to detect unauthorized persons or vehicles.
Checks cars and verifies if vehicles are parked in restricted areas, such as fire zones, turnarounds, ambulance entrances or reserved parking spaces
Checks exterior lighting and access routes to emergency and fire entrances.
Escorts personnel, patients, and visitors to and from parking lots or between buildings as requested.
