JOB SUMMARY:
Your role as a Senior Associate will harness your passion for innovative technology to partner with our clients in the supporting of strategic planning and roadmaps. You will have the opportunity to drive the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives and key projects, while creating and delivering programs and plans to help maximize adoption. * Own and lead a project/program workstream including the status, timelines, communication, resource coordination and planning.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Additional Duties

Serve as high-level support for external land agents, assisting in resolving challenging issues, both via meeting and messaging formats as well as on-site ride-alongs
Additional ad hoc duties may include:
Visit, in person, FOIs throughout the AOI such as railroads, transmission lines, substations, pipeline crossing, environmental concerns, and similar; then provide photographs and GPS coordinates of said FOI.
Attend landowner dinners, open houses, fairs, and similar community and group-based activities on behalf of the project.
Attend particularly important or interesting town or county governmental meetings.

Ideal candidates should have six to nine years of environmental transactions experience, preferably from a large law firm. The annualized salary range for this position is $365,000 to $420,000, depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary or an hours-based bonus. As a Senior Associate, GIS, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Scout's GIS (Geographical Information Systems) systems and GIS needs for the company. This includes performing basic to advanced analysis of spatial data for the development of wind and solar projects as well as the management of spatial data. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of custom tools to streamline and enhance GIS workflows.
As a subject matter expert on GIS related responsibilities within the company, the individual is expected to have the experience, skills and knowledge to effectively administer, maintain and operate GIS related products, manage GIS system databases and platforms in order to ensure successful and accurate implementation of GIS products in support of other company functions. Coordination with various departments is critical in understanding GIS needs and this position will require close coordination with the Development group, New Projects group, Transmission and Interconnection group, and the Operations group.
You support the Development team in identifying patterns and trends that may identify prospective wind and solar projects, identify constraints, setbacks and any challenges to renewable projects.
