Mark Wilson is Vice President, Health and Employment Policy, and Chief Economist for the HR Policy Association in Washington, D.C. The Association is the lead organization representing the chief human resource officers of more than 390 of the largest companies doing business in the United States and globally. In his positions at the Association he has written or co-authored a number of studies focusing on the impact the Affordable Care Act has on employer-provided health care benefits. His work also includes legislative and regulatory policy analysis of various employment and health care related bills and regulations. Mr. Wilson has over 35 years of employment policy experience including serving seven years as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Employment Standards Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor for President George W. Bush, where he oversaw and administered the Wage and Hour Division, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, and the Office of Labor-Management Standards. While at the Department of Labor, he helped to update the regulations for the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act. Mr. Wilson has published or co-authored over 100 research papers, testified more than 14 times before Congress, and frequently briefs members of Congress and the Administration and employment and health care issues.
