As a Weekend Site Manager 1 - Manager Level 1 located in Clearfield, UT, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
As a Propulsion Systems Site Manager 1, you will lead a team of highly skilled engineering technicians to perform Hydrotest Operations on the Weekend Day Shift. People leadership skills are key to success in this role. You will oversee the day-to-day Hydrotest activities of the inert production articles, and some prototype testing. As the manager, you may be required to support the team on the shop floor. This position is located on-site at Clearfield, Utah, and Copper Crossing, Utah (Salt Lake City). Travel between sites will often be required.
This position's standard work schedule is a 3/12. Friday - Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Work location will be Clearfield, UT BLDG H7, and Salt Lake City, UT at the Copper Crossing location. Candidate will support Operations teams at both sites as required.
**Potential requirement to work at other work locations occasionally, including Salt Lake City, or Promontory UT locations at discretion of Hiring Manager.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Create a safe work environment and maintain a proactive safety culture.
Ensure facilities, tooling, planning, materials, and people are available to complete assigned work
Execute day-to-day operations to complete daily production goals in support of business requirements
Initiate maintenance work orders, tool discrepancy reports, tooling change notices and facilities engineering orders, and track to completion.
Ensure training plan is implemented and effective.
Lead/participate in continuous improvement activities.
Responsible for performance management of direct reports.
Administer and implement corrective actions for safety mishaps and quality issues.
Lead/participate in root cause and corrective action analysis, implementation, effectiveness, etc.
Escalation of issues that affect safety, quality, schedule execution, and cost.
Clearly and thoroughly communicate leadership flow down to ensure alignment and understanding.

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily rig activities and supervise drilling crews to deliver the well plan safely and on schedule.
* Enforce HSE and regulatory requirements; conduct pre-shift safety meetings and ensure proper permits are in place.
* Monitor drilling parameters (ROP, WOB, mud properties, etc.) and adjust within program guidelines; promptly communicate variances to the Drilling Superintendent.
* Coordinate on-site logistics-materials, consumables, and service personnel-to minimize non-productive time.
* Maintain rig equipment readiness by scheduling routine inspections and first-line maintenance; initiate work orders for more complex repairs.
* Generate accurate daily reports (operations, costs, and HSE) and participate in after-action reviews.
* Mentor and train crew members on safe work practices and basic drilling procedures.
* Support continuous improvement by suggesting practical efficiency or safety enhancements observed in the field.
Minimum Qualifications
* 5+ years of drilling experience, including at least 5 years in a lead-hand, or supervisory driller role on a drilling rig or equivalent work.
* Working knowledge of rotary or RC drilling equipment, drilling fluids, and well control fundamentals.
* Ability to travel and work extended field rotations (e.g., 14 on/14 off or 14 on/7 off as operations dictate).
* Proven track record of maintaining a safe work environment and following standard operating procedures.
* Strong communication and basic computer skills for daily reporting (Google Workspace or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
* Class A CDL and/or state well-driller license, or willing to secure said license(s) (western states).
* Geothermal, mineral exploration, or geotechnical drilling background.
* Experience with mud rotary, reverse circulation, sonic, or core drilling techniques.
* Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and basic rig troubleshooting.
General Field Requirements
* At least 18 years old, eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a valid driver's license with no major infractions in the past three years.
* Commit to personal and team safety, demonstrate professionalism, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.

See that officials and scorekeepers are in place and adhering to and enforcing program rules. At times may have to officiate, scorekeep, time or coach games.
Ensure games and programs are run in a fair and equitable manner and remain on schedule. Make final determinations related to winning teams; causes and need to declare forfeitures; maintain statistics for league and tournament games; maintain a record of league standings.
Assist in field preparation and maintenance as necessary. Maintain cleanliness of the field or facility by picking up litter and other items left on fields or at facilities.
Render First-Aid and CPR to injured participants, spectators or personnel.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:
$22.19 - $30.51
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
