Lawrence C. Potter — President and Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Issue WebTools . In July 1993 he started UPTIP, Inc., developing custom and commercial software for animation and special effects.

1994

IBM released the world’s very first publicly available modern smartphone in 1994.

1995 – The Java programming language, developed by James Gosling, is released.

July 1999 – Signed agreements with six resellers for its line of WebTools.

According to Investor's Business Daily (September 15, 1999), J. D. Edwards has 7 out of 10 people working on e-business similar to their 4 nearest competitors.

November 1999 – Signed joint venture agreement on Commerce Central, Inc.

1999 – Kent Beck introduces extreme programming, a type of agile software development that is designed to respond to the changing requirements of the user.

For one, RIM released in 1999 the very first Blackberry 850 device.

No single client provided more than 5 percent of gross revenue in 1999.

WebWizard Express went on sale in the first quarter of 1999.

2000

2012 – Inspired by the immersive education experience he had in Korea, Tony Phillips starts coding bootcamp Hack Reactor with his brother Marcus Phillips and Shawn Drost.

2014 – After one student is prevented from attending classes because of visa issues, Hack Reactor launches the nation’s first online coding bootcamp.

2015

2015 – Another successful year for Hack Reactor, as the school expands across America and creates Telegraph Academy to educate underrepresented minorities in software engineering.

2017

2017 – Hack Reactor introduces a part-time course that allows students to attend coding bootcamp without the need to leave their jobs.
