Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
Deep experience with REST APIs, JavaScript, SSO/SAML/OAuth, and modern web debugging tools
Experience with SCIM provisioning, enterprise governance workflows, or advanced Airtable admin/developer surfaces
Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently resolve high-complexity issues in ambiguous environments
Background contributing to internal tooling, automation, or technical content such as scripts, documentation, or community resources

Commerce is searching for a Software Engineer II - Infrastructure join the DAT (Delivery Acceleration Team). We are currently a small, distributed team that engages with the entire Engineering organization by maintaining Commerce's Cloud Development Environment that enables engineers to work faster and to be less encumbered by technical burdens.
What You'll Do:
Maintain and improve Commerce's Cloud Development Environment
Help engineers become more productive, removing environment concerns as an impediment
Maintain Ruby services that orchestrate infrastructure
Contribute to a new Golang CLI tool developers will use to manage their environment
Work with technologies and tooling such as GCP, Nomad, Consul, Vault, Terraform, Packer, Puppet, and CircleCI to provide an effective development environment
Educate engineers on tool usage and process improvements
Provide support for the development environment
Document technical aspects and user flows of features
Work and collaborate with a distributed team across the world
Assist in defining the team's roadmap
Work closely with engineers to gather requirements
Create and monitor statistics to observe tooling health and functionality
Who You Are:
5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
A trusted engineer who has completed either a comprehensive software engineering boot camp, CS, CE, SW, MIS or equivalent degree, or has relevant work experience
Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible (we use Puppet)
Experience with Linux systems administration, including solid scripting skills (Ruby) and Bash
Experience developing/scripting in Ruby or Golang
Experience working with modern infrastructure tools and technologies
Comfortable exploring and engaging in unfamiliar languages, tools, and technologies
Eager to work on difficult problems
Able to contribute to project discovery, design, and implementation
Comfortable working on several projects in concert
Desire to work in a collaborative, open environment on an Agile team as a contributor and mentor
Highly proactive and results-oriented with excellent critical thinking skills

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and document React and React Native-based cross-platform client applications that deliver seamless and consistent user experiences across desktop and mobile environments, including iOS, iPadOS, and mac OS.
Work closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate product requirements into well-structured, maintainable code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine technical approaches that support performance, accessibility, and scalability.
Write robust unit and component tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.
Review and provide feedback on design documents and pull requests.
Continuously learn, experiment, and bring forward innovative ideas - participate in Hackathons and Café Days to help shape the future of PlayStation experiences.
Contribute to evolving engineering standards and advocate for clean, sustainable coding practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or at least three years of equivalent professional experience.
2+ years of front-end or full-stack development experience.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with frameworks such as React and React Native.
Experience developing and debugging cross-platform applications for environments such as iOS, iPadOS, and mac OS.
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for quality software.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with React Native bridges and native integrations using Objective-C, Swift, or C++.
Familiarity with GraphQL, REST APIs, and containerization tools such as Docker.
Understanding of cross-platform build pipelines and CI/CD practices.
Experience working with performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design principles.
Curiosity about AI-assisted development tools or automation that improves developer productivity.
