Southwest Allen County Schools company history timeline
The well preserved land was in the Frank family for over 100 years, after Anna and Peter Frank bought it from the US government following the Black Hawk War of 1832.
The 80-acre parcel of land the school sits on was purchased in 1958 from the Frank family, according to History of Thiensville, Bicentennial Edition by Harry C. Steffan.
Homestead High School opened in the fall of 1962 with 9th and 10th grade classes.
By the end of the 2016-17 school year, Homestead sent more than 70 staff members to Solution Tree training and provided over three years of professional development to the entire staff in a variety of ways.
Having completed the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) endorsement process in 2018, Homestead High School is proud to include a six-year accreditation in its list of accomplishments.
