We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support and coordinate electric utility and infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity. This role will assist senior Project Managers on large initiatives while also managing smaller, less complex projects independently.
The APM will act as a key liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is a fully onsite role and requires strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers on design-only and EPC electrical projects
Assist with RFP development, bid evaluations, and contractor selection processes
Coordinate and manage contractor submittals, RFIs, design clarifications, and drawing logs
Track and verify contractor compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and material management requirements
Assist with contract administration, including change orders, invoice approvals, and schedule tracking
Support project controls activities, including cost reporting, scheduling, WBS development, project setup, and closeout
Assist in preparing project budgets, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and status reports
Maintain project documentation and ensure proper document control and closeout
Participate in internal and external project risk reviews and coordinate with legal teams when required
Promote and adhere to safety programs, training, and policies, supporting a strong safety culture across project teams and subcontractors
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of applicable project experience
